NCEWP Physics Essay Writing Competition 2017 by IAPT

NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 by IAPT is one of the three national competitions conducted by IAPT every year. The competition is open in two categories that are category A and category B. The essay should be written in English Language and should be forwarded through the Head of Institution / Principa.l 

•  Category A: Students studying in higher secondary school or college (UG or PG) are eligible to apply.
• Category B: The teachers of higher secondary school or college (UG or PG) are eligible to participate.

Topic of the NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 by IAPT for both the categories;

“Lasers today – A century of Einstein’s stimulating theory of radiation”

Participants are expected to build-up the theme of the competition properly and cover major aspects of the basic Physics and technological applications of Lasers. The participants can submit their entries latest by 1 August 2017.

NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 Dates

The winner of the NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 will receive Attractive cash prizes plus books / CD. The amount of the cash prizes and details of other prizes will be decided in consultation with the judges of the competition.

The result of the NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 will be declared in the IAPT Bulletin and will also be informed to the participants through mail. The prize of the competition will be distributed in the IAPT annual convention to be held in October 2017.

Application Submission for category A: Category A participants cannot submit their entry directly to the Coordinator. They will have to first participate in a preliminary competition in each of the Regional Councils IAPT RC -1 to RC - 22 on the same topic of the competition. Top 3 entries from each regional council will be finally selected to participate in the national level competition.

Application Submission for category B: Participating applying under category B can directly send their entry to the coordinator.

Entries can be submitted only through online mode. To submit entries, the candidates have to follow the instruction given below:

• First, the participants have to write an essay on the topic of the competition. The essay should be written under the limitation of 8 pages including figures/tables etc.
• The essay should be typed in the Times New Roman 11-point fonts, with 1.15 spacing.
• The handwritten essay or scanned copy of handwritten essay will be rejected.
• Along with essay, the participants have to mention their basic personal details, educational details, contact details etc.
• Now the entry has to be forwarded through the Head / Principal of the institution, mentioning the category of the entry as A or B.  

NCEWP Essay Submission

The candidates can participate in the competition under category A or B only through online mode. The final entry of the participant must be submitted in PDF format by email. The email has to be sent to knjoshipura22@gmail.com

The winner of the NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 will be selected on the basis of performances of the participants in the national contest.

• Category A participants cannot participate in the national level contest directly. They will have to first appear in the preliminary regional essay competition on the topic of the competition and the regional essay competition will be conducted by regional councils in the month of June-July 2017.
• Top 3 participants from each regional council competition will be selected to participate in the national level competition. The participant applying under category B will be directly called for participate in the national level competition.
• The winner of NCEWP Essay Writing Competition 2017 will be selected on the basis of performances in the national level competition.
