About National Museum of Natural History on the Spot Painting Competition

  • National Museum of Natural History invites school students (Class 6-10) and children of age 12 to 16 for their On the spot Painting Competition.
  • The winners of the National Museum of Natural History on the Spot Painting Competition will get prize worth Rs.47000, which includes Rs.15000, Rs.12000 and Rs.10000 respectively for the First, Second and Third prize winners along with 5 encouragement prize.
  • There is no participation fee and individuals, students from schools and NGOs can participate in the competition after registering for the competition.
  • Participants will be provided with Drawing sheet by the museum while arrangement of color and other drawing material is to be done by the participant themselves.

Total 3 winning prizes and 5 encouragement prize winners will be selected from the participants, and the following awards will be given to them:

  • First Prize: Rs.15000
  • Second Prize: Rs.12000
  • Third Prize: Rs.10000
  • Encouragement Prize: Rs.2000

Interested applicants need to register themselves by filling the application form. The application form can be obtained from the website of the Museum or the same can be collected from the Museum. The details of the application process are as follow:

  • Mode of application: Application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Museum and can also be received from the Education Division of the National Museum of Natural History.>> Click Here to download the application form.
  • Registration: Students can submit their registration form along with photocopy of their Addhar card or School Identity card. Registration for the competition needs to be done before June 13, 2015.
  • Theme: The theme of the on the spot painting competition is “Attainment of Food Security for all through sustainable development.”
  • Venue and Schedule: The competition will be organized on June 17, 2015 from 10 am to 12 noon at Indira Paryavaran Bhavan, Jor Bagh Road. Participants must report at the venue by 09:30 am.
