About International Taxation Essay Competition

International Taxation Essay Competition is conducted by The Foundation for International Taxation (FIT). THEME for Writing the Essay: Any topic of International taxation. The winners' of the International Taxation Essay Competition 2017 will be rewarded with free entry to International Taxation Conference to be held in Mumbai from 7 to 9 December 2017.

All Indian nationals irrespective of class, sex, background or occupation are eligible to participate. Foundation for International Taxation was established in 2006, it was established with an aim to promote the knowledge and understanding of International Tax laws through research, training, publications and other allied activities.

Details
  • The Essay competition is open to Indian Nationals
  • International Tax professionals/students are eligible to participate
  • The age of the candidate should be below 35 years.

International Taxation Essay Competition Reward

The selected 5 candidates will be rewarded with free entry to International Taxation Conference to be held in Mumbai on December 7-9, 2017.

  • Five such authors of selected essays would be honoured at the Conference as "FIT Fellows" with a certificate
  • No other reward except the complimentary participation in the FIT's annual conference in December 2017 will be given.
  • Travel and lodging expenses for the annual conference from 7 to 9 December 2017 will have to be borne by the winners of the competition.

International Taxation Essay Competition Application form and Process

Candidates have to write an Essay on any topic of International taxation, in maximum 10,000 words.

Kindly Note: 10,000 words should include footnotes and appendices.

Important Points:

  • THe essay should be original and not plagiarised.
  • The essay should be full of relevant data, facts, circulars, treaty provisions and judicial rulings.

Submission of the Essay by e-mail


The applicants have to submit their duly Written Essay via email to internationaltax.foundation@gmail.com. The last date for submission is 31st October 2017.

International Taxation Essay Competition Selection Process

  • The Essays would be judged by experts on International Taxation.
  • Five such authors of selected essays would be honoured at the Conference as "FIT Fellows" with a certificate.
  • The Decision of the Judges on the selection of the Essays would be final.
