About International Reggae Poster Contest

International Reggae Poster Contest (IRPC) was started by Michael Thompson and Maria Papaefstathiou in 2011. The objective of the International Reggae Poster Contest is to build awareness for positive Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its impact on the world. International Reggae Poster Contest is to construct an international platform to showcase a far-reaching vision.

The term Reggae used by the contest encompasses all the popular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem. The entries are open from November 1, 2016. The participants can visit the official website of IRPC in order to submit their entry

Details The 5th International Reggae Poster Contest 2017 is open to all graphic designers and artists internationally.

Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster Entries. Posters should not have been published in the internet, social medias etc.

International Reggae Poster Contest Application form and Process

The application started from November 1, 2016. All information should be completed in English along with a title and a brief description of the poster/s you are submitting, and your biography, a maximum of 200 words.

Number of Entries: The Artist/ Designer can submit any number of original posters. Each entry must be an original, unpublished work.The participants are not allowed to submit their poster anywhere else before the announcement of the winners.

There is no registration fee.

What Exactly has to be designed? The Artists have to design a poster that will capture the energy and the vibe of Reggae Music. The goal is to Create a poster about Reggae Music.

Size/Resolution: 50cm x 70 cm 

Submission of Poster 

 The participants can submit the project on the website by filling in the required details and uploading the poster and the submission form.

  • Size: 50x70cm (1417×1984 pixels)
  • Resolution: 72 dpi
  • Color Mode: RGB
  • Design: The designs must be portrait (vertical) formatted posters.
  • File Format of Poster: JPEG or PNG
  • File Format of Submission Form: PDF

The Text in your poster can be in any language including your native language. It would be good if the entrant provides the English Translation with the poster in the notes section while uploading the poster.

The participants also have to write a Poster Title and Description.
