IOCL Scholarship - Indian Oil Educational Scholarship

Indian Oil offers scholarship known as IOCL Scholarship to students of Class 10, ITI, Engineering, M.B.B.S & MBA Courses. Indian Oil Scholarship is awarded to 2600 students on the merit-cum-means basis.

There is no separate scholarship test for awarding the IOCL scholarship and it is given on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying exam.The students who are selected for the IOCL scholarship will receive Rs. 1000 per month if the students are in Class 11/ ITI and Rs. 3000 per month in case the students are pursuing the professional course.

• Indian Oil also offers Sports scholarship to upcoming sportspersons

Until 2014, this scholarship was regularly given by Indian Oil but after that, no update has come for the fresh scholarship. No scholarship applications were announced for 2015, 2016 and 2017.

In October 2017, IOCL has launched Gyanodaya Scholarship for ITI and Polytechnic Students

Apply online for IOCL Scholarship 

The Student has to apply online for IOCL Scholarship 

• After submission of the online application, a Unique Registration Number will be generated.
• The applicants shall take a print out of the unique registration number for future reference till the Scholarships are awarded. 
• The applicants are required to check their personal e-mail/ mobile SMS and the administrator’s website for specific instructions from the Administrator.

Documents that are required to be submitted with the application form:

• Print out of the application form with the signature of the applicant
• Income certificate shall be got issued by appropriate civil authorities of the State/UTs/Central Government only. Any other Affidavit submitted in the form of Income Proof shall not be accepted.  
• There is No Offline Application for IOCL Scholarship
• Documents to be submitted with the application form for IOCl Scholarship

• Documents are to be submitted along with the IOCL Scholarship application form. Applications shall be rejected if the information does not tally with the submitted documents. 

• These documents should be sent in a sealed cover to the following address and must reach before the due date. IOCL shall not be held responsible for any postal delay.

IOCL Scholarship Incomplete Application Form

IOCL has sent a message to all the Applicants whose application form was incomplete.The message stated that your IOCL application is found incomplete. For more detail please check your email administration.

In the case of the incomplete application form, the applicants should log into their application panel by typing in their registration Number and password. After logging in, they will find the complete information there.

• IOCL scholarship is awarded in March.
• Percentage of marks obtained in qualifying examination shall be calculated on total aggregate marks of all subjects.
• In a case of Graduates, the percentage of marks obtained shall be calculated on the total aggregate of marks of all subjects for all the academic years of graduation. 
• Normalization of marks for all courses shall be done by using percentile method so as to do away with the variation of marks provided by different Boards and Universities. 
• Income of the Family will be given importance and the scholarship will be given on merit-cum-means basis.

IOCL Scholarship Reservation 

49.5% scholarships are reserved for the following category:

Only those listed in the Central Govt’s OBC list will be considered against OBC quota. 

OBC candidates of State list but not covered by Central Govt’s OBC list may apply as general candidates.

• 25% of scholarships for girl students
• 10% of scholarships for persons with Disabilities (PwDs) 40% or more disability as per the Disabilities Act 1952).

Note: These reservations are on All India Basis.

Other Information:

1. Any jurisdiction shall take place at Delhi.
2. IOCL will not guarantee employment to any of the scholars.
