CRY Research Fellowship 2015-16

• Child Rights and You (CRY) invites applications from Indian citizens interested a one year CRY Research Fellowship. The fellows will work on various focus areas related to children and come up with research reports and data which will be used by activists, academicians, development practitioners and interested general public .
• CRY Research Fellowship is being offered since last 9 years and till today it has been offered to 44 fellows.
• By the means of CRY Research Fellowship, the organizers are willing to work on the following focus areas:
• Is the `best interest principle’, a value, a constitutional right, an interpretative advocacy instrument or a rule of law?
• Evidences of the assertion or rejection of the role of children in decision making arenas, such as home, school, work and play spaces and governing institutions.
• Explorations of the relationships of the child with other children, with the state, community and the family.
• Gather evidence on relationships between ethnicity, inequality and conflict as witnessed and/or experienced by children.
• The data gathered by the means of the research fellowship will be made available to activists, academicians, development practitioners and interested general public to impact the course of the debate on child rights and the best interest principle.
• CRY Research fellowship includes a research grant of up to Rs. 1 lakh along with workshop, mentorship and various other sessions.
• The last date to apply for the Fellowship is August 31, 2015 and the names of the candidates awarded the fellowship will be published on the website in the month of October 2015.

CRY Research Fellowship 2015-16 Rewards

• Number of Fellowship Grants: CRY grants up to 5 fellowship grants every year.
• Duration of the Fellowship: The fellowship is offered for a period of 1 year i.e. 12 months.
• Amount of Fellowship Grant: The fellowship grantofferedto the candidates range from Rs. 50,000 to 1lakh.
• Workshop: The candidates selected will take part in a workshop to share research plans and gain from the collective experience. The workshop will be organized in the month of December 2015.
• Mentorship: Theselected candidateswill be mentored byajury of 5 members in their research.
• Other sessions: During the period of the fellowship, candidates will take part in an interim workshop, a post data collection session and an Annual sharing workshop.
• Travel Expenses: Thetravel, boarding and lodging expenses of all the above meetings and sessions will be sponsored by CRY.

CRY Research Fellowship Application Process

The applications for the scholarship are to be submitted online. The details related to the application process are as follow:

• Application Mode: The applications are to be sent online as well as offline. The application form and the research proposal format can be downloaded from the official website. 
• Attachments: Theapplication formshould be accompanied by the following:
  • Research Proposal (Maximum 3 pages)
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (Maximum 2 pages)
  • A sample of published or unpublished article related to the same theme.
  • Name, phone number and email addresses of 2 references.
