CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2019 - Application Closing Soon

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship is provided to those girls who are single girl child of their parents. Scheme for Single Girl Child is a merit-based scholarship and is an effort made by CBSE for the single girl students who score a minimum of 60% marks in class 10. The candidates are advised to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship programme before the due date. CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Dates

The application has started for the scholarship and students have to apply online for the CBSE scholarship and there is no application fee for this scholarship.

As per the approval of the Competent Authority dated 23 July 2012, all children born together are Single Girl Child of their parents.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Amount

The candidates selected for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship will get a monthly allowance of Rs. 500 and the payment of the scholarship will be by the means for a period of 2 years through NEFT or Electronic Clearing System (ECS).

Steps to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2019

• Step 1: Candidates have to click on the link "Click here to apply" given above

• Step 2:  Enter Roll number of Class 10th, Certificate number of Class 10th 

• Step 3: Note down the registration number and fill up the application form
• Step 4: Candidates have to upload the required documents i.e. affidavit and undertaking that will be created in JPG image format of up to 1 MB size and print the “Confirmation Page”. 

There is no need to send the hard copy of the fresh application form

Preparing the Affidavit for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship

Original copy of an affidavit (in Hindi or English Language only) from the parent that the candidate is the only child of her parents as per prescribed language (see format) on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10 duly sworn in before First class Judicial Magistrate/SDM/Executive Magistrate should be submitted along with the application.

Steps for creating Affidavit

• Step 1: Download Affidavit Format as Prescribed by CBSE
• Step 2: Parents have to take that to court
• Step 3: Get the affidavit Prepared in English or Hindi language Only
• Step 4: Take a Scanned Copy of the Original Affidavit and create PDF not greater than 1 MB

Undertaking for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship

To be filled in by the Principal of the School for the student, who intends to avail Single Girl Child Scholarship and is pursuing her Class 11 for the year 2018–2019. This is a very important document and it has the details about the student and the bank account details

The undertaking has the following details

1. Name of School and its CBSE Affiliation Code for Class 11
2. Certifying that the girl is the only child of the parent
3. Tuition Fee Amount paid in Class 10
4. Name of School from where Class 10 is passed
5. Tuition Fee of Class 11
6. Marks Obtained in Class 10 in percentage
7. Bank account details of the candidate
8. Passport Size Photo

This has to be filled in by the Principal. Filling and Certifying the scanned copy has to be created and uploaded.

Documents to be enclosed

• Online generated Application form duly signed and stamped by the principal from where the candidate is pursuing class 11.
• An attested copy of Mark sheet of Class 10 - 2018 issued by CBSE.
• Candidate should write her bank name, account number, RTGS Code (11 digits) alphanumeric & bank address.
• A cancelled cheque of the bank account in which the amount is to be credited.
• A duly attested photocopy of bank passbook.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Renewal 

• The scholarship will be renewed only when the candidate has passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in class 11 and promoted to class 12
• If a candidate changes her course/school in the meantime then renewal or continuation of the scholarship will depend upon the board’s decision.
• Candidates must attend the school regularly while avoiding punishable activities because if in any case scholarship is cancelled, it will not be renewed.
• The tuition fees for Class 10 should not be more than Rs. 1,500/- per month during the Academic year.

Documents to be sent for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Renewal

• An attested copy of Class 11 mark sheet
• A copy of Aadhaar number, if any. It must be linked with Bank Account of the candidate.
• A copy of Bank passbook/ cancelled cheque duly attested

Application For CBSE Merit Scholarship For SGC X F – 2 (Renewal)

The candidates will be awarded the scholarship and the selection of the candidates will be done by the CBSE on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in Class 10th examination. The candidates can find more information about the selection process below

• Candidate must have secured at least 60% marks in class 10 of CBSE board.
• Candidate must be pursuing her class 11 & 12 education from a CBSE affiliated school.
• In class 10, tuition fee must not exceed Rs. 1500 p.m. while in class 11 and 12 it should not increase more than 10%.
