CBSE Heritage India Quiz is based on the diverse Indian cultural heritage. The Indian heritage quiz aims at raising awareness among students about conservation and management of India's heritage. The CBSE Heritage Quiz was introduced by CBSE in 2001 in order to instigate the developing minds with the rich socio-cultural heritage of India. This year 25% of questions would be on the Life and Political Journey of Mahatma Gandhi.

The CBSE Heritage India Quiz is divided into 3 phases

CBSE Heritage Quiz Date

The date of the National Semi-Finals and Final will be put under the notifications on the CBSE website so that the teams can make necessary arrangements for their travel, lodging and boarding.

CBSE Heritage Quiz Prize Amount

Participation Certificate will be awarded to all the participants of semi-finals and finals while the winners will receive attractive cash prizes and trophies.

Online registration: Schools can get themselves registered by filling the registration form. Online Registration form for CBSE Heritage Quiz is to be filled by the school by entering their affiliation number and school number before the due date.

CBSE Heritage Quiz Registration fees

Schools have to make a payment Rs. 900 through NEFT transfer in the account of the board. The NEFT Transfer is to be made using the following given details. The online registration will be considered complete only after receiving the registration fees through the NEFT transfer.

Note: It is advised to note the UTR number for the transaction. The Application form without the UTR number will be rejected. 

CBSE Heritage India Quiz Rounds

3 students together will form a team and a team will be selected on the basis of their performance in different rounds.

• Phase 1 Online Test - It will be an online test and topmost team from each of the 16 regions will be selected for semi-finals 
• Phase 2  National Semi-Finals – The top 16 teams from the 16 competing regions will be divided into 04 groups of 04 teams each. The winner from each group will qualify for the final.
• Phase 3 National Finals – 4 teams each which have qualified from Nationa Semi-Finals will compete in national finals.

Interested schools can register as the quiz competition. Schools have to form a team of 3 students from class 9 to 12. 

CBSE Heritage Quiz Phase 1 Online Test

• It will be of 50 minutes duration comprising 60 Multiple Choice Questions.
• Each school will be represented by a team of three students who are selected from classes 9-12
• On the Quiz date, all schools who have completed the heritage quiz will get the link on the registered mail ID with the Board. Each school has to attend the test in the respective IT labs of their school.
• After the online heritage quiz has concluded, the team will get the feedback w.r.t. how many correct answers, wrong answers marked and time taken by them during the quiz

CBSE Heritage Quiz Phase 2: National Semi-Finals

• This round will be conducted in the last week of November 2019
• The top 16 teams from the 16 competing regions will be divided into 04 groups of 04 teams each. The winner from each group will qualify for the final.
• The quiz will be held in the form of questions comprising of verbal, audio and visual items.
• The National Semi-Finals will be held in Delhi and will be telecasted on Television.

CBSE Heritage Quiz Phase 2: Finals

• This round will be conducted in the last week of November 2019
• 4 teams which have qualified the National Semi-Finals will compete in the National Finals Round
• The National Finals will be held in Delhi and will be telecasted on Television

The National Semi-Finals and the Final will be held in Delhi  at "Bal Bharti Public School, 
Dwarka Sector -12 Delhi-110078"  (This is tentative and may change)

CBSE Heritage Quiz 2019 result for the online test will be released right after the exam. The team will be able to assess their performance based on the answers that are released right after the exam. Only 16 teams from all across India that is topmost team from each of the CBSE region will qualify for the National Semi-Finals.

The Result for the National semi-finals and Finals will be released on the spot based on the performance of the team.
