• The participants should write an essay on the topics provided by the Bhagavad Gita As It Is Essay Writing Competition Trust.
• Prize: The winner of the competition will get cash prize worth AUD 11,600 (Approx. INR 5.5 lakh).
• The 'Bhagavad Gita As It Is' with translation and purports by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada will be considered as the resource book and in case any other Bhagwat Gita is used, the applicant will be disqualified.
• Participation: The entries are to be submitted online and the last date to complete the submission is December 31, 2015.
• Result: The result of the competition will be made available on the official website on February 26, 2015.

The Bhagwat Gita As It Is Essay Competition will be organized in 3 different categories. The winning essays will be published on the website and the details of the cash prizes are:

• Level 1: The top 3 winners will be awarded the following Cash prizes:
  • First Prize: The winner of the first prize will get cash prize of 10,000 AUD (Approx. INR 4.82 Lakh)
  • Second Prize: AUD 100 (Approx. INR 4,800) will be given to the winner of Second Prize.
  • Third Prize: The winner of the third prize will get a cash prize of AUD 100 (Approx. INR 4,800).
• Level 2: Cash prize of the following amount will be given to the winners:
  • First Prize: First prize winner will get a cash prize of AUD 1,000 (Approx. INR 48,000).
  • Second Prize: AUD 100 (Approx. INR 4,800) will be given to the winner of Second Prize.
  • Third Prize: The winner of the third prize will get a cash prize of AUD 100 (Approx. INR 4,800).
• Level 3: The winners of level 3 will get:
  • First Prize: AUD 100 (Approx. INR 48,000)
  • Second Prize: AUD 50 (Approx. INR 2,300)

Bhagwat Gita As It Is Essay Competition Application Process

The competition will be organized in three different categories and to be a part of the competition, candidates are required to pay a specific amount as ‘Cost of Entry’. The details related to participation in the contest are:

• Categories: The competition will be organized in 3 different categories and the details are as follow:
  • Category 1: Participants will have to answer Essay Question for individuals and the cost to enter this category is AUD 35 (Approx. 1,700 INR).
  • Category 2: Participants are required to work in a group to answer the question. To enter this category, there is an entry fee of 10 AUD (Approx. 500 INR).
  • Category 3: Participants are required to give the essence of "Bhagavad Gita As It Is" in 140 or fewer characters. The cost to enter this category is AUD 2 (Approx. INR 100).
• Payment of entry fee: It is mandatory for the applicants to pay an entry fee to participate in the competition. The entry fee is to be paid at the time of registration using Credit Card of PayPal at the given link.
• Format: The document to be submitted needs to be in English and have a word limit of 2500-3000 words for Category 1 and 2000-2500 words for Category 2. The Word Document should have double-spaced text throughout, 4cm wide margins, left alignment, numbers in the bottom right-hand corner of the pages, 12-point font size text, and Garamond Font.
• Number of Submission: Multiple submissions from a single candidate will be accepted, but the fee for each submission needs to be paid separately.
• Submission: The online submission of the essay needs to be done on the official website.

• Result: The result of the essay will be made available on the official website on February 26, 2016, and the successful applicants will also be informed via email.
• No feedback related to the essays will be provided to the candidates.
