Japanese scholarship Written Test for Indian students on July 19 & 20

Japanese Government MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Technology) provides scholarships to Indian students who wish to pursue their higher studies in Japanese Universities. The government of Japan provides seven different kinds of scholarships to students for studying different courses in Japan.The scholarships are offered for

  • Undergraduate Studies (Social Science & Humanities and Natural Science)
  • Research Student(for Post Graduate & Doctoral Studies)
  • Teacher training (for teachers)
  • Japanese studies
  • College of Technology
  • Specialised training
  • Young Leaders Program (Master's Program in English medium)

The scholarship includes full scholarship with exempted tuition fee and one return air ticket. Applications were closed for four scholarships on June 20, 2014. There will be a written test for the shortlisted students in Delhi. The written test for Undergraduate Studies will be held on July 19, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 5.40 p.m.and for College of Technology and Specialised Training will be held on July 20, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 6.50 p.m.

The shortlisted students of undergraduate studies are required to reach School of Languages, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067 and have to report at 9.30 a.m. on July 19, 2014. The shortlisted students for College of Technology and specialised training have to reach Embassy of Japan, 50-G, Shantipath, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-1100221 by 8.30 a.m.  and 11.10 a.m. respectively on July 20, 2014.

The application procedures for Japanese Government scholarships are conducted through Japanese embassy.
