After the denial of JNTU for 83 engineering colleges affiliation, a serious question has been raised about the Technical education quality of the education in the state. JNTU has given various reasons for the rejection of affiliation of the colleges like many colleges has no Principals in it, once the principals are appointed JNTU H will grant affiliation to those colleges.

N. Yadaiah the Registrar of JNTU-H said, "We have placed about 30 to 35 colleges in pending list for various reasons. As many as 10 colleges have no principals and once the appointment is done, we will grant affiliation to them. We have received complaints against several colleges and are considering to conduct a surprise inspection. If the functioning of colleges is found satisfied we will give affiliation"

N. Yadaiah the Registrar of JNTU-H also added that "Colleges without principals were given 10 days time for the appointment. So, in all means, we would announce the fate of these colleges before the second phase of counselling."

The colleges are given 10 days time for the appointment purpose and the fate of the colleges will be decided before the second counselling process. JNTU has also received many complaints about different colleges and they have decided to make a surprise visit to those colleges, and if found in satisfactory conditions the colleges will be granted affiliation.

According to a source, no major colleges have been denied affiliation completely. A branch or two of a group were denied affiliation.  Although the rejection of the affiliation will lead to a drastic change in the education system such as decreasing in the number of seats but it will not have a major impact because the number of students who had appeared for certificate verification is less than the number of seats that are available now.
