CBSE might not conduct NET Exam in June 2015. The Central Board of Secondary Education has already too much on its plate to handle. An update has come in that CBSE might not be able to conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) in June 2015. NET is conducted twice in a year that is in June and in December to select candidates for Junior Research Fellowships and Assistant Professors.
Earlier NET was conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) but had been recently handed over to CBSE for smooth functioning of the exam. CBSE conducted NET for the first time in December 2014.
CBSE conducted NET successfully in 2014
CBSE had even successfully organized NET last year after it had been handed over the responsibility. However, CBSE seems to have lost confidence after the departure of its ex-chairman Vineet Joshi in November 2014.
Apart from that CBSE is also conducting the following exams:
- CBSE Class 10 Board Exams
- CBSE Class 12 Board Exams
- JEE Main 2015, an engineering entrance exam
- AIPMT 2015
- CTET (Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test) 2015
All the above-mentioned exams will be held in the March-May period, excluding CTET 2015 which will be held on February 22, 2015. CBSE will be busy with the conduct of the above mentioned exam and processing of the result.
NET 2015 in June
Since NET will be conducted in June, all the requisite processes which precede the examination, will have to be carried out carefully as well.
And given the whole process prior to the exam, which includes availability of application forms, posting requisite updates, availability of admit cards and the whole scheduling of exams it is more than enough to keep CBSE busy throughout more than half the year.
UGC may conduct NET in June 2015
If CBSE will be unable to hold the NET 2015 exam in June then UGC has agreed to conduct the exam.
