National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 examination is likely to be held tentatively on 7 May 2017, in various cities across the country. This date is tentatively, and the official notification about NEET examination is yet to be announced. The official notification will be available on the official website of AIPMT at aipmt.nic.in. As per the recent information. The last date of the registration process will be 23 January 2017. The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is for admission to MBBS or BDS program in:

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is conducted by CBSE for admission to MBBS and BDS program in:

  • Medical Colleges approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
  • Dental Colleges approved by the Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. 

NEET score is not accepted for MBBS admission in AIIMS and JIPMER. All the seven AIIMS Institutes in the country will take MBBS admission on the basis of AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Latest Updates

 

  • The NEET examination is scheduled to be held in six additional languages for the session 2017-18, a statement from the Union Health Ministry official confirmed it.
  • The 6 languages of the examination are Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu and Tamil apart from conventional English, Hindi. NEET 2017 possibly to be held in regional languages
  • "In addition to this, candidates qualifying for NEET will be eligible to an all-India quota and other quotas under the state governments/ institutes, irrespective of the medium in which the exam is taken by the candidate," said by the Ministry Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Last year the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2016 was successfully held on 24 July and the result was declared for the same paper on 16 August 2016. Results for the second round of seat allotment for NEET 2016 was declared on 12 September 2016. The candidates want to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in 2017 for admission for the next session are advised to regularly check the official website for more details and updates.
