The Awardees of Ishan Uday Scholarship from Manipur State are struck as they do not know where do they have to submit the required documents for availing the scholarship. Ishan Uday Scholarship has selected 10,000 students from North East Region and of them close to 33% students are from Manipur State.
The selected candidates have to submit the documents in the designated Canara Bank Branch but there is no Canara Bank branch assigned for the students of Manipur State and this puts the students in a Limbo and they are not sure what should they do. Students are continuously contacting the UGC but they are not getting any answers. It is an appeal that UGC should help the students with the required information.
Will the 3348 students from Manipur selected under the ISHAN UDAY Scholarship be able to avail the specified benefits? Ishan Uday is a scholarship scheme conducted by UGC.
The ISHAN UDAY scheme Results was declared on April 9, 2015 and the students were asked to submit a set of documents in the designated Canara Bank Branch authorized by UGC. The list of the designated Canara Bank Branch published by UGC does not contain a Single Bank located in the state of Manipur. The question arises do they have to travel all over To Guwahati from Manipur (almost 500 kms in a hill terrain) to submit the documents and spend more money than the assured amount?
In such a situation, UGC is neither taking the calls of the students nor answering the questions raised by the students and the students are continuously finding ways and means to submit the documents.
