After the declaration of the Board Exam results every year thousands of pupil apply for Revaluation. There are few amongst the herd who are the aspirants of the Engineering colleges. Normally, the revaluation results of the exam papers get delayed. In lieu of the same that students who aspire to become engineers do not have to waste one year just because of the delay in revaluation results the Ministry of Human Resource and Development has issued orders to the state education boards to give priority to candidates who take JEE Exam.

As per the sources, “State education boards have been asked by the HRD ministry to give priority to the revaluation applications of aspiring engineers so that they get a fair shot at country’s top colleges including IITs.” Ministry officials told the media personnel’s that during the past there have been the cases when the scores of the students after revaluation have undergone drastic changes thereby affecting the overall ranking.

The role played by Class 12 marks for seeking admission to the Top notch engineering colleges inclusive of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs is very important. Therefore in the preparation of the Rank List of JEE Main 40% weightage is given to the Class 12 board exam while 60% weightage is given to the JEE Main Entrance Test marks. However if the revaluation result will get delayed without any doubt it will become an obstacle in securing admission in any of the renowned engineering institution

An official of the human resources development ministry said, “It is yet to be finalised but the ministry has suggested the boards to give such students priority so that their results can be finalised before submission to JEE.” Further the official added, “If revaluation results are declared on priority, we can save a student's year. Boards were requested to look into the matter during a recent meet.”

Even the school education boards and the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE, the state Boards have been asked to declare the Class 12 results before May 31 so as not to delay the admission process of the Engineering Colleges.
