Delhi CM launches three new educational schemes for the promising future of students. The first scheme is free education to all up to class 12th second one is a loan for higher studies and third is free higher education to the students who have received some award.

Under the first scheme, the government will work upon to provide free education to all the children up to class 12. This step was surely needed as in the lack of money and economic facilities many children don’t get even the basic education which is very important for a better future. This would become successful when the government will stop the growth of private institutions. And keep a track of the work done by the state-run educational institutes. This promise was made by the CM in its election manifesto.

Claims Made by AAP (Aam Aadmi Party)

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) head Arvind Kejriwal claimed at the launch of a web portal for the 'Loan Guarantee Scheme and Scholarship' that the AAP dispensation has completely changed government schools where the standard of education was earlier in a bad state he added that the scheme will provide loans to needy students through banks and the government will take their guarantee.

  • "Earlier, the quality of government schools was deteriorating and the entire education sector, be it primary, secondary, colleges and technical, was moving towards privatization. Fees of these institutions were so high that the common man could not afford them. Since we came to power, we have changed the wave of privatization of education in the country," Kejriwal said and he also added that people earlier did not "want to send their children to government schools" where the standard of education was bad.
  • "When honest politics, honest people came to Delhi (government), principals, teachers, and officials did a wonderful job in the last two and a half years, due to which the results of class 12 of government schools were better in comparison to private schools this year," the Chief Minister said and claimed that the government has prepared such a model where all the children irrespective of their background, would get quality education free of cost and the loan will be returnable one year after the student completed his course.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to start Parent’s workshop

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will launch 'Parents Workshops' from Sarvodaya Co-ed Vidyalaya, Sector 6 - Rohini. It will be a new experience for parents of children studying in government schools. This is done to make the parents responsible towards the education of their child. The workshops will be conducted in 10 schools on a pilot basis and then rolled out in 50 schools across the city.

First, these workshops will only be conducted for parents of children appearing for Class 10 and 12 Board examinations, at the school in the evenings. After that, a full-time program will be launched in January. The Deputy Chief Minister informed about the scheme and said that the involvement of parents in the education of children makes a significant difference to their performance. The government has worked hard for improving so many things like improving school infrastructure and making the scenario of classrooms better than before.
