Result for the 16th edition of the CBSE Heritage Quiz 2016 has been declared on 14 March 2017. The CBSE Heritage Quiz result are declared for both the Regional as well as National level category. The final round of the CBSE Heritage Quiz will be telecasted by CBSE in association with History Channel. This year, total 5868 students from all the 10 regions participated in the quiz initial elimination round
The CBSE Heritage Quiz 2016 is based on the diverse Indian culture with an aim to raise awareness among students about conversation and management of heritage in India. Total 25% of questions were asked on cultural practices and heritage of the seven sisters’ state of India (North India).
TV Telecast of CBSE Heritage Quiz 2016
This year, total 5868 students from all the 10 regions participated in the quiz initial elimination round. Top 20 teams reached the semi-final round and top four have qualified for the finals and the semi-finals and finals were conducted in Delhi. CBSE in association with History Channel will telecast the final round of the quiz competition as the schedule given below:

- Start Date: 18th March 2017
- Premiere Slot: Saturday’s 4.30pm
- Repeat: Wednesday’s 8.00am
- Weeks: 5 weeks

About CBSE Heritage Quiz 2016
The central board of school examination (CBSE) has introduced the CBSE Heritage Quiz in the year 2001 in order to instigate the developing mind with the rich socio-cultural heritage. The main objective of CBSE Heritage Quiz is to raise awareness among students about conversation and management of heritage in India. The CBSE Heritage Quiz 2016 was divided into 3 phases which are given below:
- Phase 1 - City Chapter
- Phase 2 - Regional Chapter
- Phase 3 - National Semi-Finals and Finals
CBSE Heritage Quiz Reward
Each participant of participants of semi-finals and finals will be awarded a Participation Certificate and the winner of CBSE Heritage Quiz 2016 will be awarded as given below:
- First Prize - Rs 21,000 x 1 team = Rs 21,000
- Second Prize - Rs 12,000 x 1 team = Rs 12,000
- Third Prize - Rs 7,500 x 1 team = Rs 7,500
- Fourth Prize - Rs 4,500 x 1 team = Rs 4,500
- Second Position (Semi-final) - Rs 3,000 x 4 teams = Rs 12,000
- Third Position (Semi-final) - Rs 1,500 x 4 teams = Rs 6,000
- Fourth Position (Semi-final) - Rs 1,000 x 4 teams = Rs 4,000
