CAT 2016 Result Declared, Process for Admission in IIMs. Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the conducting body of CAT has declared the CAT result on its official website. CAT was conducted on 4 December 2016. CAT examination which is being conducted by IIM Bangalore this year, was held in 138 cities in all over the country and more than 2 lakh candidate appeared in the examination. This Year total 20 candidates have scored 100 percentile and all of them are engineers. However, many non-engineers and female candidates have scored 100 percentile in the sectional result this time.
The candidates who will qualify in CAT 2016 will be eligible for admission in 20 different IIM institutes. The shortlisted candidates (those who qualify CAT 2016) will be called for the Interviews by IIMs, the candidates have to log-in on the official website of the IIM to check the same. The selected candidates need to keep their eyes on the latest updates related to the admission process.

Program Offered by the IIMs
The following management programs are offered by the IIMs to the selected candidates:
- Post Graduate Programme in Securities Markets (PGPSM).
- Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM).
- Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGPM).
- Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPPM).
- Post-Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management (PGPFAM).
IIM Admission Process
According to the admission process schedule, the candidates shortlisted for personal interview will be sent an Interview letter. Each IIM will shortlist the candidates for the second stage admission process. The candidates selected for admission in the offered program will have to verify their eligibility by showing their presenting mark sheets, degree certificates, the reservation and disability category certificates (If applicable).
The selected candidates who are in the final year of their graduation will need to show the original certificate from the principal of their institute which must be certifying that the candidate has secured minimum 50 per cent marks.
