CBSE NET Result 2017 - CBSE UGC NET Result Declared!

CBSE NET Result 2017, for the exam conducted on 5 November 2017 is declared. The candidates who appeared in the exam can check the result by following the link given on this page. The National Eligibility Test (NET) exam is conducted by CBSE for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE NET Result 2017 is declared by the UGC and the candidates who appeared in the exam can check the result and download the scorecard by providing the details. The result has been declared on 2 January 2018. The link to check the result is given below. To check the result, the candidates have to enter the following details -

After qualifying for CBSE NET 2017 Exam

  • Assistant Professor: The candidates who qualify in NET for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments.
  • Junior Research Fellowship: The candidates who qualify in the NET exam for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive the fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions. The validity period of the offer is two years.

CBSE NET 2017 Result Statistics for January Exam

The UGC has released the CBSE NET 2017 result statistics for the General, OBC, SC and ST candidates. Although, the total number of candidates get selected is 22,382. The statistics are given below for each category and give us the figure of how much candidates get selected.

Criteria for CBSE NET Score calculation


The following criteria are followed by CBSE for the declaration of the result:

Step 1: Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor: The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper –III is given below.

Step 2: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.

Step 3: Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.

Step 4: A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step 3.

CBSE NET Result - Answer Keys & OMR Sheets

 

  • OMR Sheet and Answer keys for the 5 November exam will be released in December 2017.
  • The candidates who want to obtain their photocopy of OMR sheet along with the calculation sheet with a fee of Rs. 500 on or before stipulated time. 
  • The candidates must mention their Roll No. Name, Address correctly in their Application. 
  • The fee must be paid through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/Delhi issued by any scheduled bank to the following address:

Challenging CBSE NET Answer Keys

  • The candidates can challenge the answers by filling online application form on the website by paying a sum of Rs 5000 through Demand Draft has drawn in favour of Secretary CBSE payable at Delhi/Noida within one month from the Declaration of the Result. 
  • In case the CBSE found the Answer Keys to be incorrect, it will process the result of the candidates for JRF or Assistant Professor. 
  • The candidates must send the application along with the supporting documents in the same address given above. 
  • The Subject of the Grievances must be" Grievances relating to Answer Key(s) of UGC-NET November 2017.
