NIMHANS Result 2017 for UG courses is declared on 27 June 2017 in the form of merit list. NIMHANS conducts a common entrance test at an All India level for admission to B.Sc courses. National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) is an autonomous Institute of National Importance. The institute offers various UG, PG and Post-Doctoral courses. NIMHANS conducts online entrance exam in various test centres located in Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, and Hyderabad.

NIMHANS Result 2017 is updated on this page on 27 June 2017. To check the result for the entrance test, the candidates will require their Registration Number and Password. The list of qualified candidates for interview/counselling is also be notified on the Institute’s Notice Board and Website. A merit list is prepared course wise and reserved the category wise based on the marks scored by the candidates in the ONLINE entrance test.
After the declaration of the result, the counselling process is begun and the candidates will be intimated about the counselling dates and venue.
NIMHANS Result 2017 - Tie Breaking
In the case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the Entrance test, their merit will be determined as under:
- No. of attempts in the qualifying exam.
- If the number of attempts is same, Candidates securing higher marks in the qualifying exam will be considered*.
- If marks are also same, then, age will be the criterion i.e., the person who is senior in age shall be ranked higher.
Eligible candidates in each category shall be called to appear before a duly constituted Selection Committee for the counselling.
NIHMANS Counselling 2017
The Entrance Test will be followed by counselling, NIMHANS 2017 counselling is started from the 7 July 2017. The verification of all the original documents pertaining to eligibility will be done at the time of counselling. No candidates will be offered admission without the original eligibility certificates. Candidates not attending counselling will not be considered for admission at NIMHANS.
