DU Cut Off 2017 (Eleventh Cut Off released) - Steps to follow after Cut Off release

DU Cut off 2017 - Delhi University has released the 11th cut off on 24 August 2017. The candidates shall be allowed to change the college/courses, subject to fulfilling the criteria of 10th cut-offs. The university has released the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh cut-off list. Based on the information submitted by the candidate the Delhi University releases the DU Cut Off for various courses and colleges. Admissions in Delhi University Degree colleges is based on DU Cut Off which is released by Delhi University. The applicants are given three days to take admission in the colleges in which they qualify as per the Delhi University Cut Off List. The admission is not on first come first serve basis. All those candidates who qualify the minimum cut off marks will surely get the admission in the college and cannot be denied admission.

The meaning of Against Cancellation: This means that college does not have any vacant seat at the time of the announcement of cut off but if any students cancel their admission due to any reason and the seat is vacant, other students will be offered that seat.

DU Cut off List is the minimum percentage of marks required to take admission in various colleges and courses in Delhi University. Unlike many other universities in India, Delhi University has centralised admission process, and the candidates only have to submit their choice of course and the subject wise marks scored in Class 12.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Applicants cannot take admission simultaneously in two different programmes or same programmes in different colleges after the declaration of DU Cut Off. In case you take admission at two places, your admission will be cancelled from both the colleges/programmes.

The University of Delhi has released 11th cut off for the admission into the Delhi University colleges. Notification related to 11th cut off marks is released by the colleges on 24 August 2017. The students have to go for document verification and admission has to be done 24 & 25 August 2017. 

  • DU has released tenth Cut off 2017 (Special Drive for Admissions of Reserved Category Applicants). Candidates have to visit for document verification and approval of admission from 11 August 2017 to 14 August 2017.
  • After approval of admission, the applicant has to log on to the undergraduate admission portal to make online admission fee payment. This may be done till 12:00 noon of the next day of the given admission list deadline.

The DU Ninth Cut off List was released on 7 August 2017. The students who are registered with the University of the admission but could not take admission for any reason in any of the preceding cut off shall also be eligible for the admission during this period.

DU 6th Cut off

  • After the release of each DU Cut Off List, the students will have a period of three - four days to take the final call and complete the enrollment process. As DU has done away with the first-come-first-serve admission procedure, students are much more relaxed as they don’t have to run from one college to another to get their names added to the admission list of the desired college.
  • Now if the students, after the release of the Cut Off List finds himself/herself eligible to be admitted to the college, they have to simply get themselves enrolled in the college by depositing the Admission Fee, within the specified time along with verification of documents.

List of Documents required after DU Cut Off Release


The applicants shall be required to produce the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission and the release of the DU 1st Cut Off. The University will be accepting the self-attested copies of the documents of the candidates given below.

  • Class X Board Examination Certificate
  • Class X Mark-Sheet
  • Class XII Mark-Sheet
  • Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
  • Recent Character Certificate
  • SC / ST/ PwD / CW (in the name of the Applicant) issued by the competent authority
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) as in central list
  • Transfer Certificate from school/college as well as Migration Certificate from Board / University is required from those students who have passed the senior secondary exam from outside Delhi
  • At least two passport size self attested photographs
  • Minority certificate for admission in Minority Colleges

Steps to be followed for DU Admission after DU Cut Off Release


Since the first cut-offs are released and the next steps for the admission is to pay the admission fee and the documents verification. The candidates have to follow the given steps below. Applicants cannot take admission simultaneously in two different programmes or same programmes in different colleges after the declaration of DU Cut Off. In case you take admission at two places, your admission will be cancelled from both the colleges/programmes.

  • STEP 1: Once the cut-off list is out, log into the registered account and check whether you have made it to the cut-off list
  • STEP 2: Make the payment through Internet banking.
  • STEP 3: Select the desired combination and then take a printout of the admission form.
  • STEP 4: Report to the college with the application form. Remember to carry all the original documents with their photocopies.
  • STEP 5: An acknowledgement will be given to the candidate which is to be carried by the candidate along with the Online form payment slip.

DU Fifth Cut Off Analysis

  • The cut-off marks have declined in the range of 0.25 to 5.0 percentage points from the fourth cut off. 
  • For General Students, the fifth (last) list for this session still offers admissions in popular courses of Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) Maths, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and BCom (Hons) in 23, 27 and 38 colleges respectively.
  • It was also reported that aspirants from Tamil Nadu only secured around 80 percent of the seats in top colleges.

DU Cut Off Analysis Previous Year

 

SRCC First Cut off List  2015 was declared on June 24, 2015 and B.Com H) Cut off is 97.35% and Eco (H) is 98.25%. Sri Ram College of Commerce closed admission to BCom (Hons) for General category, it has kept a ceiling of 97.75 per cent for Economics (Hons), just 0.25 less than the first cut-off.

"The First Cut Off List of DU for its undergraduate courses has yet again touched the 100 % with College of Vocational Studies and Indraprastha College for Women this time putting the ceiling at maximum for admission to its BSc (Computer Science) course for general category students."

"College of Vocational Studies and Indraprastha College for Women which had kept the percentage requirement of perfect 100 for admission to BSc Computer Science (Hons) in the first list, revised it to 93-99.5 per cent and 95.5-100 per cent respectively"

"The highest cut-off for the course is set at 97 per cent in ARSD and the lowest 93.75 per cent at Aurobindo College- On declaration of Fourth Cut Off"

"As per Fourth Cut Off list it has been determined that Admissions to English (Hons) are still on offer in Hansraj, Hindu, LSR, Miranda House, Ramjas and SGTB Khalsa College."
