IFMR MBA Admissions 2018

IFMR MBA Admissions 2018 process has started. The candidates can fill the online application form and have to submit it to send their entry for MBA admission. IFMR has two rounds of admission for the MBA batch (2018-20). The Early Decision Round and General Round. The deadline for both the round is different. In this page, the candidates can check all the IFMR MBA Admissions 2018 related information like eligibility, schedule, selection process etc. 

There is the availability of maximum of 240 seats for students for MBA Programme. Before filling the application form, candidates should go through all the details available at least once to avoid any discrepancy. For the IFMR MBA admission, the various specialisations are:

What is Early Decision and General Round

• Early Decision Round - This round is dedicated to those applicants who are currently employed and have work experience of 1 year to 3 years as of 1 December 2017.
• General Round - This round is dedicated to all the applicants who may or may not be employed. 

Age: Candidates born on or after 1 January 1991 and on or before 31 December 1999 are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed their graduation from a full time or part time degree course in any discipline with the consistent academic record can apply. Candidates pursuing final year degree are also eligible. But candidates should have a full-time degree course and not from correspondence, distance mode and online mode.

Qualifying Examinations: Candidates are required to appear for any of the following standardized entrance exams CAT 2017, XAT 2018, CMAT 2018, and GMAT & GRE (taken on or after 1st January 2015). The cut off and weights are not the same for all the entrance exams so the performance of the candidate in all the entrance exams will be evaluated against the respective cut off and only the best performance will be considered.

Work Experience: Work experience is not mandatory for candidates, but in case of work experience candidates should have less than or equal to 3 years of experience as of 1st December 2017.

For Foreign Candidates: Candidates who have studied abroad must get a certificate from the Indian Embassy or Consulate that their University is recognized by the statutory authorities of that country.

The application process for the IFMR MBA Admission 2018 has started and the eligible candidates can fill the form by following the link given below. The last date to fill the form for Early Decision Round is 18 December 2017. However, for the General Round, it is 5 February 2018. The candidates should fill and submit the form as per their category on or before the due date.

Steps to fill the IFMR MBA Application Form 2018

• STEP 1 - (Registration): To register themselves the candidates have to follow the link below and enter the email Id. By doing so, the candidates will be sent their credentials (Username and Password) on their registered email id.
• STEP 2 - (Filling up the Form): The candidates with the help of User Id and Password need to login their account and then have to fill the details such as Personal, Educational, Other Details etc. to complete the registration process.
• STEP 3- (Upload Documents): In this section, the candidates have to upload the documents like Photograph and Signature in given size and format.
• STEP 4 - (Payment): After uploading documents, the candidates have to make the payment of the application fee and submit the application form. 

Submission of the Application Form

The candidates filling up the form should make sure that every section of it has been filled by them carefully because the institute has the right to reject the form furnishing fallacious details. The submission of the form would be considered successful once the candidate pays the application fee.

After submitting the application form, the candidates are suggested to keep at least two printouts of the application form with them for future reference, 

The application fee to be paid while filling the application form is Rs 1500 only. The application fee will be paid online by Debit Card/ Credit Card or by Net Banking. Candidates can use any of the modes as per their convenience to make the payment of the application fee.

IFMR MBA Admission 2018 Course Fee (Annual)

The Course Fee for the two year MBA Programme is Rs 12 Lakhs. The fee covers tuition, books & materials, library membership, examination fee, and IT charge.

The admission into the Institute of Financial Management and Research (IFMR) for MBA programme is done based on qualifying exams CAT 2017, XAT 2018, CMAT 2018, and GMAT & GRE. The candidates based on scores will be selected to appear for further selection rounds. The selection round consists of - 

• Written Ability Test (WAT)
• Personal interview (PI)

Note: IFMR has two rounds of admission for the MBA batch (2018-20). The Early Decision Round and the General Round. 

The selection process will be held on different dates for the Early Decision Round and General Round. Hence, the centres for both the rounds are given in the table below. The shortlisted candidates will be called at any one of the following centres.
