UBKV (Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya) Admission 2018 - Candidates can fill the application form for admission into the MSc and BSc Courses. Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) offer 2 years full time PG programs MSc (Agriculture) / MSc (Horticulture) / MSc(Forestry) and 4 years full time UG programs BSc (Agriculture) Hons and BSc (Horticulture) Hons in its colleges UBKV Main Campus at Pundibari and College of Agriculture at Majhian, Dakshin Dinajpur under UBKV for the academic session 2018-19. The candidates with bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or Forestry with minimum OGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale and minimum 60% marks in higher secondary are only eligible for UBKV Admission 2018 in MSc programs and the candidates who have completed 10+2 with minimum 60% aggregate marks are eligible for admission in BSc programs.

UBKV Admission 2018 Dates

Eligibility Criteria for MSc

• The candidates who have completed bachelor’s degree examination in Agriculture, Horticulture or Forestry from a recognized institution with minimum CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale and minimum 60% marks in higher secondary or equivalent examination are only eligible to apply for UBKV Admission 2018.
• The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category should have minimum OGPA of 6.00 in 10 point scale and 50% marks in their graduation.
• The candidates who have done bachelor’s degree under a traditional system with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) are also eligible to apply for UBKV Admission 2018.
• Age: The minimum age of the candidates should be 21 years as on 31 December 2018.

Eligibility Criteria for BSc

• The candidates who are passed in 10+2 exam or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture/Horticulture or vocational agriculture /Horticulture with 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST and PWD)  in an above-mentioned subject are only eligible to apply for UBKV Admission 2018.
• Age: The minimum age of the candidates should be 16 years as on 31 December 2018.

The candidates wish to take admission MSc or BSc programs offered by Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya through UBKV entrance have to first fill an online application form on the official website of conducting body at https://www.ubkv.ac.in. To fill the online application form, the candidates have to follow the instruction given below:

• STEP 1: Before filling the online application form, the candidates have to keep ready the required document ready (mentioned below). It has to be uploaded during filling the application form.
• STEP 2: Now the candidates have to visit the official website directly or by clicking the link given on this page. Now the candidates have to create an account by entering their valid email ID and mobile number as all the important communication will be made on the registered email ID.
• STEP 3: Now the candidates have to fill the online application form. The candidates have to enter basic personal details, educational details, address, selection of the course applying for, contact details etc.
• STEP 4: Now the candidates have to upload the following documents after selecting the option given on the application form:
  • 4 copies of passport size photograph (Maximum size 20kb)
  • Signature of the candidate (Maximum size 20 kb)
  • Self-attested Secondary Mark Sheet (Maximum size 200 kb to 300 kb) (both side)
  • Self-attested Higher Secondary Mark Sheet (Maximum size 200 kb to 300 kb) (both side)
  • Self-attested UG Examination Mark Sheet (Maximum size 200 kb to 300 kb) (both side) for MSc course only
  • Front side of Residential Certificate with self-attested (Size 200 kb to 300)
• STEP 5: Now the candidates have to submit the filled application form and review the details given in the form. After the review, the candidates have to submit the application form finally.
• STEP 6: Thereafter, have to make payment of the application fee. In order to pay the application fee, the candidates have to go to payment options page and have to select the mode of making payment.
  • Online mode: The candidates can pay using Debit / Credit card or Net Banking. After payment, the candidates have to take print of payment receipt and have to remember the transaction ID for future correspondence.
  • Offline Mode: The candidates have to pay the application form through Bank Challan (United Bank of India) which can be downloaded only after final submission of the online Application Form.

Application Submission

The candidates can submit the application form through online and offline mode as well. However, the candidates have to fill the application only through online mode on the official website of Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya. If the application fee has been paid through online mode then the candidates can take print out of it immediately after deposition. If the application fee is paid through offline mode then the candidates can take the print out of application form after 28 hours of deposition of the fee.

Selection Process for MSc Programs
The candidates are selected for admission in MSc programs offered at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. The conducting body will prepare a merit list which will be based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test. According to the position of the candidates in the merit list, the candidates will be called for admission counselling.

Selection Process for BSc Programs
The candidates are selected for admission in BSc program offered at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya on the basis of candidate’s performance in 10+2 exam or equivalent exam. One common merit list will be prepared for admission at UBKV Main Campus at Pundibari and College of Agriculture, Majhian, Dakshin Dinajpur and will be published on its official website.

Documents Required for UBKV Counselling 2018

The candidates selected for admission will have to bring the following documents at the time of admission counselling:

• Mark sheet(s) (Both Side) of Madhyamik, Higher Secondary & UG Examination (UG mark sheet is applicable only for MSc admission)
• Admit card / Certificate of Madhyamik Examination
• SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD certificate
• Character certificate issued by the Head of the institution
• Residential certificate from the competent authority
• 4 copies of passport size photo
• Bank Challan (on payment of required fees) along with
• Aadhar card
• The first page of the Bank Passbook in the name of the Applicant
• Migrant certificate issued by competent authority (for Kashmiri migrants only)

Exam Pattern for the UBKV MSc Program

• Duration of the Test: 1 hours 30 minutes
• Total Marks: 100 Marks
• Qualifying Marks for the Entrance Test
  • 35 % for General
  • OBC-A & OBC-B categories
  • 30% for SC, ST & PWD categories of the Test
• There will be no negative marks for the wrong answer
