About Rajasthan MBBS BDS

Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS Admission is done on the basis of NEET 2017 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). As per the decision of the Supreme Court, the NEET is mandatory and the only entrance exam which is now required for the admission into all the Government and Medical Colleges in India. And now no state or private institute is allowed to conduct their own medical entrance exam for MBBS and BDS admission. The candidates who appear in National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE and get qualifying cut off can take part in Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS Counselling 2017. This page is focused on providing the information about the Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS Admission.

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) -The duration of MBBS course is 4½ years followed by compulsory internship of one year.
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) -The course is divided into 4 years of training followed by compulsory internship of one year.

As per the official data of Medical Education Department, Government of Rajasthan, there is a total of 1,138 MBBS and 85 BDS seats in 9 Government Medical and 2 Dental Colleges of the state.

Rajasthan NEET Admission 2017 - Notification

 

Only candidates who fulfil the NEET Cut-offs laid down by RUHS are eligible for admission provided they also fulfil the domicile requirement. There is no domicile requirement for NRI and Management Seats.

Rajasthan MBBS BDS Eligibility criteria

Age: The candidates should be 17 years old on or before 31 December 2017

Academic Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and any other elective subject with English as a compulsory subject.
  • Candidates who are appearing in Class 12 Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017 are also eligible to apply.

Qualifying Marks: Admission will be done based on NEET scores 2017 obtained by the candidates.

Rajasthan MBBS BDS Application form and Admit Card

The Rajasthan Government will start the application process from the 15 July 2017. Therefore, the candidates have to fill the application form to apply for the counselling process. The candidates will be called for the counselling rounds in order to get admission in the Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS course.

Rajasthan MBBS BDS Result and Counselling

Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS Admission 2017 to undergraduate courses in MBBS and BDS programme for academic session 2017-18 will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET 2017. Therefore, the candidates who have qualified in the NEET 2017 will be eligible for counselling and locking of choices as per the college seat matrix.The NEET exam was conducted on 7 May 2017 and the result has been declared.

Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS Counselling Information 2017

The Government of Rajasthan will call the candidates for the counselling process according to the merit list which will get prepared based on NEET result. The candidates who are looking forward to getting admission in any of the medical colleges in Rajasthan should register himself/ herself when the counselling process gets started.

The candidates should know that they have to register on the official website. If they do not register on the official website will not be called or eligible for the allotment in any counselling round. The counselling would be held in three rounds and further rounds will be intimated if the seats would not get filled in three rounds.

Documents required for Rajasthan MBBS / BDS Admission

  • NEET 2017 Score Card
  • Allotment Letter
  • Mark sheet of 10+2 (senior school certificate examination) or its equivalent
  • Date of Birth Certificate: 10th class mark sheet/certificate or any other equivalent certificate showing the date of birth
  • Mark sheet of secondary examination (10th class)
  • Certificate/ Document providing your eligibility as selected by you at the time of filling online registration form- (I to XII) - as given under serial 3 in the information booklet
  • Copy of photo ID (driving licence / PAN card / Voter ID / Govt. or PSU card / School ID card / 12th class examination admit card / Aadhaar card)
  • Valid Caste Certificate, sub-category certificate, if applicable
  • Domicile certificate, if applicable
  • 4 Passport size photo same as affixed on registration form
  • PH certificate, if applicable
  • WDP / WPP certificates, if applicable
  • Bond as per the applicable Proforma
  • Any other relevant certificate(s)

Rajasthan MBBS / BDS Round 2 Guidelines for Submitting the Demand Draft


The candidates who are being offered seats in BDS program in Rajasthan government Dental colleges are required to bring DD of one year fee (as mentioned below) at the time of reporting at RUHS College of Dental Sciences (Govt. Dental College), Jaipur. The candidates have to write their name, State merit no. and phone number on the reverse of the original DD and have to submit it from 21 August to 23 August 2017. The remaining portion of the fees including caution money, hostel fees, other fees etc. has to be submitted by the candidates in the allotted college during the 2nd round of counseling on 24 & 25 August 2017.

Rajasthan MBBS BDS Admission Round 2 Counselling - New

The Round 2 Counselling for the admission to the MBBS/BDS will be done in offline mode. The eligible candidates are required to reach the counselling venue i.e. RUHS College of Dental SCiences and Hospital, Jaipur as per their category and schedule are given below.

  • The candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 of counselling and didn't join the institutions will not be eligible for the Round 2 of counselling.
  • The physical presence of the candidates is mandatory for the Round 2 of counselling.
  • The candidates who were allotted the colleges in Round 1 and completed all the admission formalities there in will be considered eligible to participate in the Round 2 of counselling. However such candidates are advised to bring their Round 1 Counselling call letters with them.
  • The candidates who were not allotted any seats in the Round 1 of counselling will be required to bring their NEET 2017 Admit Card, Counseling registration letter and all the relevant documents.

The Rajasthan MBBS/ BDS cut-off marks for the year 2017 has been released.The candidates who are opting for the admission medical colleges in Rajasthan have to qualify the given cut-offs and only then they can apply for the admissions.

Admission under Management/NRI seats


The eligible NRI candidates who qualified in NEET 2017 and selected for admission under 15% management/NRI seats have to complete admission formalities such as deposition of DD, original documents medical examination directly at their respective allotted college by 4 August 2017 and also have to submit original affidavit/NRI papers till 7 August 2017. There is no restriction of the domicile status.
