About AP ICET

AP ICET 2018 (Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test) is a Common Entrance examination for selection of the candidates for admission into MBA & MCA programs in the Universities and their affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2018-19. AP ICET 2018 conducted by Venkateswara University on behalf of APSCHE. Application form can be submitted only through online mode on the official website from 16 March 2018 to 14 April 2018. The candidates who have completed their graduation of minimum 3 years from a recognised college or University are eligible to apply for appearing in the entrance examination. The last date to apply for the AP ICET without late fee is 14 April 2018.

AP ICET Eligibility criteria

Domicile: The candidates want to appear in the AP ICET 2018 Examination must be an Indian citizen and should also satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.

Distance Education Students: The candidates who have completed their graduation on Distance Mode Program from the colleges or institute recognised by UGC or Dec or AICTE are also eligible to apply.

Final Year Students: The candidates who are appearing in the Final Year Examination of their qualifying degree can also apply for AP ICET 2018.

Educational Qualification for MBA

The candidates must have completed his/her graduation of minimum 3 years with aggregate marks of 50% (45% in case of reserved categories) from any college or institute which should be recognised by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Mathematics should be one of the subjects at class 10 level exam. 

Educational Qualification for MCA

The candidates want to appear in AP ICET 2018 for admission in MCA program must have graduation degree with aggregate marks of 50% (45% in case of reserved categories) from a UGC (University Grants Commission) recognised institute. Mathematics should be one of the subjects at Intermediate (+2) or Degree level.

AP ICET Application form and Admit Card

The candidates want to appear in APICET-2018 for admission in MBA/MCA program can submit the application form only through online mode on the official website of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education at https://sche.ap.gov.in. Or by following the link given below. The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria have to submit the online application form by following the steps mentioned below.

APICET 2018: Steps to Apply Online

STEP 1: Fee Payment

  • To submit the online application for AP ICET 2018, the candidates have to first make payment of the application fee. The candidates have to click fee payment option for making payment of the application fee. 
  • Now the candidates have to enter qualifying exam hall ticket number, candidate's name, candidate's date of birth, mobile number, alternate mobile number, candidate's e-mail id. Now the candidates can pay application fee through Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking.

STEP 2: Know Payment Status

  • After making payment of the application fee, the candidates must check the payment status for proceeding to fill the application form. The candidates have to click the option “Know your Payment Status”.
  • Thereafter the candidates have to enter qualifying exam hall ticket number and mobile number which were entered during making payment of the application fee. Now the candidates will be able to see their application payment status.
  • Payment status will be shown as success or failure and the candidates who successfully paid for application form will be shown payment reference ID.

STEP 3: Fill the Application Form

  • The candidates who have successfully paid the application fee will be able to fill the application form. To fill the application fee, the candidates have to first, enter registration number, payment reference ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number and date of birth.
  • Now the candidates will enter the main application page. The candidates have to provide their personal details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar Card Number, birth district, birth state, ration card number, caste category, local area, an annual income of the parents, candidate’s bank account details.
  • Now the candidates have to provide their address and contact details like house number, village, town, state, pin code, mobile number, alternative mobile number, email ID etc and details of their qualifying exam, details of common entrance test and details of entire educational qualification.
  • Now the candidates have to choose two preferences of the exam centres of their choice from the list given there.

STEP 4: Upload Photo & Signature

  • Now the candidates have to upload the scanned copy of their latest coloured passport size photo and signature.
  • An old photograph of the candidates can be rejected. The quality of the photograph should be good and must follow the uploading criteria as under:

Application Submission

The candidates can submit AP ICET 2018 application form only through online mode and the application form can be submitted on the official website. After successful submission of the application form, confirmations message “Your application is Submitted Successfully. Please note your Registration Number for further reference” will appear on the screen. Now the candidates have to take a print out of completed application form. The registration number will be used for future reference. The printout of the application form has not to be sent via post.

AP ICET Admit Card 2018

The candidates, who have successfully submitted AP ICET 2018 online application form on the official website, will be eligible to download the examination hall ticket/Admit card from 26 April 2018 onwards. The candidates can download their examination admit card by entering registration number and date of birth. AP ICET admit card will carry basic personal details of the candidates, exam details and examination centre details etc.

AP ICET Result and Counselling

The candidates will be selected for admission into MBA or MCA programs in Universities colleges and their affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2018-19 mainly on the basis of score in AP ICET 2018 entrance examination. The candidates will be called for personal interview and group discussion. The candidates will be offered seat into the program MBA/MCA on the basis of score in AP ICET 2018, performance in GD & PI.

Preparation of AP ICET Merit List 2018

The candidates who have secured 25% qualifying marks in the AP ICET 2018 entrance examination (50 out of 200) and the candidates belongs to SC/ST category will be assigned the rank in the merit list on the basis of marks secured in AP ICET 2018.

In case of Tie, If one or more candidates have scored same marks in AP ICET 2018 by more than one candidate, the following criteria will be followed to resolve the tie:

  1. By considering the marks scored in Section-A
  2. If the tie persists, marks obtained by a student in Section-B will be taken into consideration
  3. If the tie still persists, the tie will be resolved by taking into account age of the candidate giving the older candidate priority.

AP ICET Exam pattern

AP ICET 2018 Entrance test is designed to measure the candidate’s ability to use verbal & mathematical skills and to think systematically. The entrance test will be conducted on 2 May 2018. The candidates appearing in the exam have to follow the examination pattern given below:

  • Duration of the Test: 150 minutes
  • The medium of the test: English only for Section-C and English & Telugu for Section-A & Section-B of the question paper.
  • Question Type: Objective
  • Total number of questions: 200
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer
