Goa Institute of Management (GIM) PGDM Admissions 2018

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) PGDM Admissions 2018 will be based on CAT/XAT/CMAT Scores and the Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be conducted at Goa Institute of Management. The International Applicants can also apply for Goa Institute of Management (GIM) PGDM Admissions 2018 only through their GMAT Scores.

The candidates who have appeared for CAT/XAT/CMAT needs to separately fill the Goa Institute of Management for seeking admission to PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) & PGD-HCM (Post Graduate Diploma in Health Care Management).

GIM Application process has been started and the last date to apply without late fee is 5 Jan 2018.

GIM Goa Admission 2018 Dates

Goa Institute of Management Total Seats

The candidates must secure at least 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) in a three-year Bachelor’s Degree recognised by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE. The candidate who will complete his/her degree by June 2018 can also apply.The candidate must appear for any one of the National level Management Entrance exam that is CAT/XAT/CMAT.

International/NRI candidates Eligibility

The following are the eligibility criteria for the International/NRI candidates:

• The candidate must be a Foreign National or NRI.
• The applicants must have scored at least 50% aggregate in their Bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognised University.
• The Candidate must have appeared for GMAT and submit their GMAT scores. TOEFL scores may be asked in some specific cases.

Goa Institute of Management Application form can only be filled online and the last date to apply without any late fee is 15 December 2017. The candidates must read the information given carefully before filling the GIM application form.

The candidates must enter their valid CAT/XAT/CMAT or GMAT scores for the International candidates in the GIM application form along with filling the other personal and academic details.

Goa Institute of Management MBA Application Process

Goa Institute of Management MBA Application Form can be filled by any of the two ways:

• Register and Login
• Login with XAT ID

After registering or logging with any of the two options mentioned above the candidates need to fill the mandatory details in the GIM MBA application Form.

The following fields must be filled by the candidates in the GIM MBA Application Form:

• Personal: The candidates must fill their personal information such as name, address, contact details etc.
• Program: In this field, the candidates must choose or fill the program they are applying for.
• Educational: In the educational field, the candidates must enter their academic details.
• Work: The candidates need to mention their work experience if any.
• Family: The candidates need to write about their family or background information in this field.
• Document: The candidates are required to upload their required documents along with photograph and signature.
• Declaration: The candidates must agree to the declaration before the final submission of the form.  

Payment of the Application Fees

The payment of the GIM Application Fees can be made by two modes:

• Online Payment: The candidate can make payment of the application fee through online payment gateway that is credit/debit/net banking.
• Demand Draft: The candidate can make payment through Demand Draft in favour of “ Goa Institute of Management”, payable at Panaji (or Panjim).

 The above fees does not include any Hostel Fees.

GIM PGDM Scholarship and Fee Waiver

Scholarship: GIM offers GIM-MBBS Scholarship (GMS) to candidates holding MBBS degree admitted into PGDM in Health Care Management (HCM). Total of five scholarships will be awarded four lakh rupees each. 

Fee Waiver: All students who clear the admissions process of GIM and whose total family income is less than Rs. 6 lakhs/annum would get a full waiver of the tuition fees up to a maximum of 5% of students admitted.

The candidates who join PGDM 2017-19 batch which is desirous of claiming the tuition waiver should apply to admissions office (admissions@gim.ac.in).

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will be based on the following selection criteria:

• CAT/XAT/CMAT scores: The scores of any of the National level management entrance exam that is CAT/XAT/CMAT will be considered. The selected candidates will be called for the Interview.
• Interview Round: The selected candidates will be selected for the Interview round in any of the chosen Interview centres namely, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Cochin, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata and New Delhi.
• For PGDM-HCM: The shortlisting for face to face selection will be done on the basis of profiles that is, CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, and work experience. Shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interview process in various cities in the beginning of March 2017. All other candidates shall be invited for the regular round in the beginning of March 2017 at various interview centres in the country.
• For PGDM: A few groups of bright candidates shall be invited to Goa for Achiever’s round of interview process in January 2017.

Achiever’s Round

• The candidates shortlisted for the achiever’s round need to attain interviews to be held at Goa and those candidates shortlisted for the achiever’s round will be eligible to apply for the scholarships and those not selected are not eligible for the scholarships.
• If a candidate is selected for the achiever’s round and decides to opt out of the achiever’s round and instead attends regular round will not be eligible for the scholarship.
• The shortlist shall be drawn without XAT, CAT or CMAT score, to facilitate interview process in January 2017. Scores shall be incorporated later on. GIM may publish guidance minimum score. Candidates with scores below guidance minimum score are unlikely to be selected for admission, even though they may have been invited for Achiever's round.
• Candidates are required to submit the Statement of Purpose and two recommendation letters at the time of face-to-face selection.
  
  

GIM Goa Final Selection

The shortlisted candidates for the final selection rounds will be based on the following weightage:

Domicile Criteria: The qualifying cut-off XAT / CAT / CMAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goa domicile/origin. Documentary evidence of domicile will have to be supplied along with the completed Application Form.

NRI/International candidates selection

• The NRI/International candidates selection process will be based on the valid GMAT scores. The selected candidates will be interviewed through video conferencing and those who are selected in after the video conferencing rounds will be offered admissions.
• If any of the NRI candidates happens to be in Goa and they may like to visit the campus they can do so as well.
