About WBJEE EVETS

WBJEE EVETS 2016 is the common entrance examination for the academic year 2016-17 for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H) in West Bengal University Animal  and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata. EVETS 2016 will be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). However, the counselling for the allotment of seats will be conducted by the university itself. 

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences impart education, training to conduct research in veterinary and animal sciences, dairy sciences and fishery sciences. The university also caters needs of the farming community of the State of West Bengal. 

  • WBJEE EVETS 2016 Application Form can only be filled Online from May 3, 2016, to June 16, 2016. The Entrance exam will be conducted on July 17, 2016.

WBJEE EVETS Eligibility criteria

Nationality and Domicile: The candidates must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal.

Domicile of West Bengal : Only those candidates will be considered as the domicile of West Bengal if he/she fulfill the following criteria:

  • The candidates residing in West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 years as on December 31, 2015
  • The candidates whose parents are the permanent resident of West Bengal having a permanent address within the State of West Bengal.

Age: The candidates should not be less than 17 years of age on December 31, 2016, and there is no upper age limit.

Academic Qualification: The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. 

  • The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular. The candidate must have secured  a minimum 50% (40% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

WBJEE EVETS Application form and Admit Card

WBJEE EVETS  Application Form 2016 can only be filled Online from May 3, 2016, to June 16, 2016.  The candidates need to visit the official website of WBJEE and follow the online application process.

The four steps for WBJEE EVETS Application process are as follows:

Step 1: Registration: The candidate has to input name, date of birth, gender, email id and mobile number and password. The candidate needs to use his/her application number, date of birth and password in order to login further.

Step 2: Personal and Academic Details: The candidate has to enter his/her personal and academic information and also two choices of examination centre.

Step 3: Image Upload: The candidates need to upload scanned copies of his/her photograph, signature, Left thumb impression, admit card/Mark sheet of Class 10 as age proof and other applicable certificates( formats/ proforma available in the prospectus). All these mentioned documents must be uploaded in the following specifications:

It is to be noted that the photograph must be taken in colour preferably after March 1, 2016. The photograph must match with the candidate’s appearance at the time of examination.

Step 4: Payment and Confirmation: At the end of Step 3, an e-challan will be generated for payment and the candidates will be directed to the page of fee payment and will have following two options:

  • Online:The candidates can pay the application fee of Rs 500 by selecting the online payment gateway that by selecting Debit/Credit/Net Banking option along with the service charges. After the successful payment, the candidates will be able to print the “Confirmation page”
  • Offline: The candidate needs to select the offline payment mode. After the selection, an e-challan will be generated containing specific details of the candidates along with the Application fees of Rs 500 as well as the service tax. The candidates take a printout and can pay the offline fees at any branch of Allahabad bank.

If the sufficient applicants are not available for a particular centre mentioned above, then nearby centre will be allotted to the candidates.

WBJEE EVETS Admit Card


Candidates can download their WBJEE EVETS admit card from July 12, 2016, to July 17, 2016, in the official website of WBJEE. Candidates must carry a printed hard copy of the admit card at the examination centre along with the same photograph that has been uploaded earlier in the application form.

The admission fee has to be paid by the selected candidates at the time of admission.

WBJEE EVETS Result and Counselling

WBJEE EVETS Result 2016 will be declared on July 29, 2016, and the merit list of the successful candidates will be prepared by listing them in descending order of the total marks scored by them. Only the successful candidates will be able to download their rank cards from the official website.

In case of tie:

  • Less negative marks in Biology, Physics & Chemistry taken together
  • More positive marks in Biology and Chemistry taken together
  • More positive marks in Biology and physics taken together
  • Less negative marks in Biology and Chemistry taken together
  • Less negative marks in Biology and Physics taken together

If further tie arises, then it will be broken according to the date of birth (DOB) of the concerned candidates, the older candidates will be given preferences over the younger age.

WBJEE Counselling 2016


The admission for B.V.Sc & A.H course is not conducted by WBJEEB. It only conducts the entrance examination and publishes the merit list. The counselling process is conducted by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences.The merit listed candidates can only seek their detailed information from this University only.

Documents to be carried at the time of counselling

  • The candidates must produce the original Mark sheets of all the examinations passed, a document certifying his/her date of birth as given on Class 10 or equivalent examination.
  • Apart from the original documents the candidates must also carry WBJEE EVETS Admit card 2016, WBJEE EVETS Rank card 2016, domicile certificate and other relevant documents (eg caste certificate for reserved candidates, PwD category) for the purpose of verification.

WBJEE EVETS 2016 entrance examination will be conducted in English and Bengali language.

Syllabus: The questions for WBJEE EVETS will be based on the syllabus of Class 10+2 under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

Mode of Exam: It will be a pen and paper based examination.

Type of Question: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)

Marking: Every correct response will fetch 2 marks and no response will fetch Zero marks.

Negative marking: There will be negative marking, 1/2 mark will be deducted for every each incorrect response and Multiple responses.
