WBJEE EVETS 2017 is the common entrance examination for the academic year 2017-18 for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H) in West Bengal University Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata. West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences impart education, training to conduct research in veterinary and animal sciences, dairy sciences and fishery sciences. The university also caters needs of the farming community of the State of West Bengal. The candidates are advised to scroll down for the complete information on WBJEE EVETS 2017.

WBJEE EVETS is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). However, the counselling for the allotment of seats will be conducted by the university itself.

WBJEE EVETS Eligibility criteria

Nationality and Domicile:

The candidates must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal. Only those candidates will be considered as the domicile of West Bengal if he/she fulfil the following criteria:

  • The candidates residing in West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 years as on 31 December 2017
  • The candidates whose parents are the permanent resident of West Bengal having a permanent address within the State of West Bengal.

Age: The candidates should not be less than 17 years of age on 31 December 2017 and there is no upper age limit.

Academic Qualification:

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination recognised by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. 
  • The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular. The candidate must have secured a minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

WBJEE EVETS  application form can only be filled through online mode from 1 March 2017 until 22 March 2017. WBJEE EVETS Admit Card 2017


Candidates can download their WBJEE EVETS admit card from 17 May 2017 onwards from the official website of WBJEE. However, the link to download the admit card will also be uploaded on this page. Therefore, the candidates are advised to stay updated on the website of motachashma.

Candidates must carry a printed hard copy of the admit card at the examination centre along with the same photograph that has been uploaded earlier in the application form. Candidates are advised to check the details like name of the students, exam centre, exam dates etc. on the printed admit card.

WBJEE EVETS Fees

The candidates willing to appear in WBJEE EVETS need to make the payment of application fee of Rs. 500. The candidates should make the payment of the application only once. 

The admission fee has to be paid by the selected candidates at the time of admission. The admission fee details of B.V.Sc & A.H is given in the table below.

WBJEE EVETS Result and Counselling

WBJEE EVETS Result will be declared on 30 June 2017 and the merit list of the successful candidates will be prepared by listing them in descending order of the total marks scored by them. Only the successful candidates will be able to download their rank cards from the official website.

WBJEE Counselling 2017


WBJEEB does not conduct the admission for B.V.Sc & A.H course. It only conducts the entrance examination and publishes the merit list. The counselling process is conducted by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences.The merit listed candidates can only seek their detailed information from this University only.

Documents to be carried at the time of counselling

  • The candidates must produce the original Mark sheets of all the examinations passed, a document certifying his/her date of birth as given in Class 10 or equivalent examination.
  • Apart from the original documents, the candidates must also carry WBJEE EVETS Admit card 2017, WBJEE EVETS Rank card 2017, domicile certificate and other relevant documents (e.g., caste certificate for reserved candidates, PwD category) for the purpose of verification.

WBJEE EVETS Exam pattern

  • Syllabus: The questions for WBJEE EVETS will be based on the syllabus of Class 10+2 under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)
  • Mode of Exam: It will be a pen and paper based examination.
  • Type of Question: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  • Marking Scheme: Every correct response will fetch 2 marks and no response will fetch Zero marks.
  • Negative marking: There will be negative marking, 1/2 mark will be deducted for every each incorrect response and Multiple responses.

WBJEE EVETS Important details

The Examination will be held simultaneously at the following zones, provided there are sufficient candidates in each zone. If sufficient applicants are not available for a particular zone, the nearby zone will be allotted to them.

There are total 12 test centres which are given along with the codes in the table below. If the sufficient applicants are not available for a particular centre mentioned above, then nearby centre will be allotted to the candidates.
