NIH (National Institute of Homeopathy) invites application for BHMS course only from the candidates who have qualified National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) Session 2018 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 6 May 2018 (Sunday). NIH BHMS course is a 5½ BHMS Degree Course including one-year compulsory Rotatory Internship in Homoeopathy at National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata. The admission will be based on the merit list of NEET UG Test 2018.

NIH BHMS Admission 2018 - Important Points

• The admission to NIH BHMS 2018 will be done on the basis of NEET UG 2018 Scores
• The selection and admission are subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the Govt. of India.
• Candidates are required to send application form only through Speed Post, sufficiently in advance so as to reach within the last date and time i.e. 5 July 2018 (Thursday) up to 4:00 PM. Application forms received after this date and time will be rejected.
• Candidates have to provide two recent, high contrast colour photographs of size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, which must have been taken on or after 1 May 2018, with the name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph.

NIH BHMS 2018 Dates

• The admission will be based on NEET 2018. Hence, the candidates must satisfy all the eligibility requirement considering age criteria, academic requirement etc. 
• The candidate must have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for UG (NEET-UG) session 2018 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 6 May 2018 (Sunday). 

NEET Eligibility Requirement

NIH BHMS application form is now available for the candidates and they have to fill and submit the form before 5 July 2018 (up to 4:00 PM) as this is the last date for submission of application form. The link to download the application form on NIH BHMS is given below on this page. The candidates can fill the application form of NIH BHMS admission through offline only as there is no procedure to fill the online application form. While filling the application form, the SC/ ST/ OBC Category candidates have to send a self-attested photocopy of the valid “Caste Certificate” from the competent authority as prescribed in the NEET 2018 Information Bulletin.

Payment of NIH BHMS Application Fee

After filling the NIH BHMS application form, the candidates have to make the payment of the application fee in order to complete the application procedure. It is to be noticed by the candidates that the application fee in the form of IPO/ Cheque/ Cash/ Money order will not be accepted. Thus, the candidates have to pay the application fee through Demand Draft which will be issued in the favour of “Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy”, payable at Kolkata drawn on any Nationalized Bank.

Submission of the Application Form

The candidates are requested to provide the correct details in the application form as the candidates will not be able to edit the details once the form is submitted. The candidates should send the duly filled in Application Form will all required documents and demand draft to the following address:

Documents to be submitted with BHMS Application Form

The following documents (self-attested) are required to be enclosed along with the NIH BHMS Application Form while submitting. Application without the following documents will be rejected.

1. Demand Draft Rs. 1000/- should be enclosed in original. Candidate must mention Full Name and Mobile no. behind the Demand Draft.
2. The print copy of "Confirmation Page" of online application form of NEET 2018
3. NEET 2018 Admit Card
4. Downloaded copy of NEET 2018 Result
5. AADHAR Card
6. Caste Certificate as prescribed in NEET 2018
7. Certificate of Disability as prescribed in NEET 2018 Information Bulletin
8. Two Passport size Colour Photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) taken after 1 May 2018
9. Two self-addressed envelopes (30cm x 20cm) with compulsory mentioning six-digit pin code and pasting Postal Stamp of Rs.50 on each envelope

The application fee of NIH BHMS is different and depends upon the category. There is an application fee for General and OBC category whereas the SC/ ST has to pay nothing to apply for admission in NIH BHMS. The application fee will be paid through Demand Draft.

NIH Kolkata BHMS Fee Structure 2018

NIH Kolkata has not notified any changes in fee structure for this year. Thus, the fees given below on this page is of last year. If the institute makes any changes in the fees later, the same will be updated on this page. There is a signing bond which would be executed at the time of admission. The candidates have to execute it one duly notarised bond of Rs. 50,000 as a compensatory bond.

The selection of the candidates for the admission to the NIH BHMS Course will be done on the basis of NEET 2018 Scores. NIH BHMS Counselling 2018

National Homeopathy Institute (NIH) will soon notify the date of counselling for NIH BHMS Admission 2018. The dates will be announced after getting necessary permission from Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. The Institute will not send any kind of separate call letter or email to individual candidates to appear for the Counselling. While appearing for the NIH BHMS counselling, the candidates have to carry the following certificates -

• Nationality Certificates or Photocopy of the valid passport/Domicile Certificate/ Birth Certificate self-attested.
• Class 10 standard Admit Card, Mark Sheet, Pass Certificate.
• Class 12 standard Admit Card, Mark Sheet, Pass Certificate.
• Conduct/ Character certificate from the Head of Institute last attended.
• Transfer certificate from Institute last attended. (if applicable)
• Caste certificate. (if applicable)
• Caste validity certificate (if applicable)
• Migration Certificate issued by the respective University/Board.
• Medical fitness certificate/Orthopedically Challenged certificate.
• Six Passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate him/herself.
• Signed Bond for fee non-refund.
• Anti-Ragging Affidavit online
• Self-Educational Gap Affidavit
• Any other relevant document.

BHMS Counselling Documents Needed

Following documents are to be produced by the candidate in original along with two sets photocopy (self-attested):

• NEET Admit Card
• NEET Confirmation Page
• NEET Result
• Photo Identity Card issued by the respective State Govt./Govt. of India.(Example: Voter Card, Aadhar Cardetc.)

Earlier the admission in NIH BHMS used to be done on the basis of an entrance exam which was conducted by National Institute of Homeopathy. However, since when the Ministry of AYUSH made NEET compulsory for most of the medical exams, the NIH also started taking NIH BHMS admission based on NEET.
