HMCTECE 2018

HMCTECE 2018 will be conducted in 1st week of May 2018. The exam is conducted by Jharkhand Government for admission in Bachelors in Hotel Management and Catering Services. HMCTECE 2018 is for admission to the following two hotel management colleges:

• IMS Ranchi - 3 years diploma in Hotel Management & Catering- 95 seats 
• Netaji Subhash Institute of Hotel Management- 63 Seats

Jharkhand Domicile: To appear in HMCTECE 2018, the Candidate must belong to the state of Jharkhand. The Candidate has to produce a certificate summarising their proof of being the resident of Jharkhand.

JCECEB has not released any information about HMCTECE 2018. Info given on this page is based on previos years.

HMCTECE 2018 Dates

Nationality: Indian

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 35% marks. Those who have appeared for the higher secondary exam and their results have not been declared yet can also apply but they should produce the qualifying examination pass certificate and marks sheet at the time of counselling.

Domicile: The Candidate should belong to the state of Jharkhand. It is important to show a certificate summarising their proof of being the resident of the state.

Health Status: The applicant should produce medical certificate enunciating that he/she is healthy enough to appear for the course.

Age: There is no upper or lower age limit. The age written on the matriculation certificate will only be considered.

Interested candidates can apply both offline and online.The candidates can download the application form from the official website of the university. Filled application form along with demand Draft must reach the university before 3rd week of April 2018.

Application Submission

The applicants can send the duly filled in application form along with the demand draft of their name and address are written on the back of the demand draft and send it to:

The submission should be only through speed post and courier and the applicants must write “Hotel Management & Catering Technology Entrance Competitive Examination-2018” in bold letters on the top of the envelope.

• Candidates are required to provide colour passport size photographs with a clear view of both the ears. No edited photograph will be accepted.
• Proof of income has to be submitted along with the application form.

HMCTECE Admit Card

• The candidates can download the HMCTECE admit card from the official website of the university. The admit card will also be sent through the ordinary post.
• In case the delivery of admit card through the post is delayed then the college would be taking the responsibility for it. The candidates have to bear all the risk at their own discretion.
• The admit card will have the name, scanned photograph, D-O-B, exam name, exam date and test centre and the category of the candidate

The candidates who are going to fill the HMCTECE application from, have to pay the application fee as given below:

• The payment of the fee should be through demand draft paid in favour of “Controller of Examination”, payable at Ranchi.
• In the case of bank challan, the candidates can submit the application fee along with the bank challan in any branch of United Bank of India.
  
  

Course Fee Structure (Annual)

The result dates for the exam conducted on 1st week of May 2018, across all the branches in Ranchi would be updated on the official website after the issuance of information brochure and application form.The exam results would be declared one month after the  HMCTECE exam. The candidates can view their results online.

Answer Keys

The answer keys will not be displayed and there is no provision for reassessment and revaluation of the answer scripts.

HMCTECE Counselling

• The counselling will commence immediately after the results are declared.
• Candidates from General/ OBC will have to pay Rs. 500 and those from SC/ST will have to pay Rs. 350 for counselling.
• There will be computerised Multi Station Parallel Counselling
• If there are any seats still vacant after the first counselling, in that case, the second counselling will start to fill those vacant seats.

• Class 10 / or equivalent examination admit card, mark sheet and pass certificate

• Class 10+2 or equivalent examination admit card and mark sheet and pass certificate
• Domicile certificate
• Caste certificate
• HMCTECE Result
• Income certificate
• Passport size photograph

HMCTECE  entrance exam will be conducted in Pen and Paper Based. Other details are as follows:

• No. of Questions: 150 questions/ one mark each

• Duration of HMCTECE : 2 Hour 30 minutes

• Medium of Exam: English and Hindi
• Negative Marking: For every wrong answer  0.25 marks would be deducted from the total.
