PTU Counselling 2018

PTU Counselling 2018 is for admission to various UG and PG Courses in the Colleges and Institutes affiliated to the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar (PTU). The entire process of PTU Counselling will be online and candidates can participate in PTU Counselling 2018 from their home or internet café as all they need is an internet facility. PTU Counselling 2018 is for admission to Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech, B. Pharmacy, and B.Arch course) and Post Graduate Courses (MBA, M.Pharm, MCA, and M.Tech). The admission in Punjab Technical University shall be made on the basis of the following merit scores:

• Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda.
• Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (For B.Tech Courses only)

85% of seats in PTU are reserved for Punjab quota and remaining 15% are for candidates from other states.

A candidate qualifies for Punjab quota if he/she:

• A candidate who has Punjab resident certificate.
• A candidate who has studied in Punjab for 5 years.
• Candidates who have studied in Punjab just preceding the qualifying exam.
  
  

Course wise eligibility for PTU Counselling

PTU Counselling Online Fee payment procedure will be started soon. Candidates who want to take part in the first round of counselling need to pay the fee online. PTU counselling fee payment can be made here for the following Universities:

• IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU)
• Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University (MRSPTU)
• Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)

To participate in online PTU counseling candidate has to deposit one-time counselling fee of Rs. 2000 for each course before the last date to participate in counselling.

PTU counselling fee can be paid in one of the following ways:

• Through Net Banking.
• Through Debit Card or Credit Card (VISA or MASTER Cards only).
• By Depositing Cash at Bank after generation Challan online (In HDFC Bank only)
  • Candidate choosing the ‘Cash’ option has to select branch name from the available options.
  • Print E-slip for the selected courses to deposit in the selected branch
  • Candidate must ensure that the bank clerk enter his/her Name, Roll number, E-slip Number and Amount in their System.
  • Candidate must note down the Transaction/Scroll ID. It will be needed to activate payment.
  • Candidate must take a proper stamped receipt of payment from Bank.
  • Candidates must note that after the cash has been deposited, it will take 4 working days for activation of account.

STEP 2: Registration for online PTU Counselling 2018

STEP 3: Check the published ranks by the University.

STEP 4: Fill the choice of course and College/ Institute.

STEP 5: Check the Counselling result.

STEP 6: Report at the Allotted Institutes.

PTU Counselling 2018 consists of 3 rounds for the allotment of seats. Candidate need not pay again for the second round of counselling. (either you get the seat in the first round of counselling or not). The candidates selected for counselling will have to be there at the place where counselling will be conducted. The candidates are advised to check the counselling schedule given below.

 Candidates can check PTU Counselling (Tentative) Dates 2018 for round 1, 2 and 3. It is advised to bring all the required documents along with while appearing in the counselling session. The official dates will be updated once available, however, the candidate can check the tentative dates for the same.
