About Yenepoya University MBBS and BDS

Yenepoya University MBBS and BDS admission 2016 will be base on NEET UG scores for admission in the Yenepoya Medical College and Yenepoya Dental College. The University is located in Mangalore, Karnataka. Yenepoya University offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Medicine, hospital administration, dentistry, hospitality (Nursing), clinical ethics consultation, bioethics and medical ethics. 

Till last year Yenepoya University conducted the entrance exam that is YU UGET for MBBS and BDS course. But this year YU UGET got cancelled and the colleges will accept NEET scores as per the order of Honorable Supreme Court of India.

Latest Update: Yenepoya University has opened Registration for Counselling process. The candidates who have already registered for YU UGET need not apply again, but they only need to upload their NEET scores, but the candidates who want to take admission to Yenepoya University into MBBS and BDS Courses must apply before August 23, 2016.

Yenepoya University MBBS and BDS Eligibility criteria

  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 from any recognized board and university with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Candidates appearing in class 12 in March / April 2016 are also eligible to appear in  YUUGET
  • A minimum 50% marks is compulsory for admission in MBBS and BDS course in the university.
  • Age: The candidates must have  completed 17 years of age on December 31 preceding the year of admission.

Yenepoya University MBBS and BDS Application form and Admit Card

The candidates who have already registered in the YUUGET need to pay the registration fee and they only need to attach their NEET result sheet. The New applicant needs to fill the complete application form and also pay the Registration amount of Rs. 1000. As per the notification of UGC, the NEET score is mandatory for admission to Yenepoya University MBBS and BDS course. Therefore, to appear in NEET exam, the candidates need to fill NEET Application Form.

The candidates are required to download the Yenepoya University application form and send it along with DD of Rs. 1000 issued in the favour of “Yenepoya University” payable at Mangaluru. The application form is also available at the administrative office of the university.

Following documents must be attached: 

  • Completely filled in Application Form and duly signed
  • NEET Result Sheet
  • Demand Draft: The candidates must mention their full name and NEET Application number on the backside of the DD. (only for new registration)
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Community certificate

The fee given for MBBS and BDS course is inclusive of the hostel fee. It is compulsory for all the candidates to stay in the college hostel.

Yenepoya University MBBS and BDS Result and Counselling

Yenepoya University Counselling 2016 

 

Yenepoya University Counselling will be conducted on August 27, 2016. It is mandatory for the selected candidates and a parent to attend in person for the counselling process. 

The counselling process will be held from 9:00 AM onwards at Yendurance Zone, Yenepoya University Campus, Mangalore.

Documents required at the time of Counselling

The following 3 sets of photocopies of the documents to be produced for Yenepoya University Counselling: 

  • SSLC/class 10 Marks Card
  • Marks Card of thge qualifying examination 
  • Conduct certificate from the college last studied.
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration certificate (For those who have studied or represent any other board other than Karnataka)
  • Community certificate (Minority Candidates) if applicable
  • Domicile/ Nativity Certificate
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • 8 colour photos (4 passport size & 4 stamp size)

Fees to be paid at the time of Counselling

The candidate for both MBBS and BDS need to pay the following fees in Demand Draft in favour of "Yenepoya Medical College" Payable at Mangalore:

Fee Refund Policy

The total of Fee collected will be refunded to the candidate if they withdraw their seat on or before September 2, 2016 before 5:00 PM. No amount will be refunded after the prescribed date.
