GITAM GAT 2018 - Slot Booking Started!

GITAM GAT 2018 or GITAM Admission Test 2018 is an all India exam which is conducted by GITAM University for admission to undergraduate engineering, technology, and Architecture courses in its Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru campus. Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a deemed to be a university. GITAM University offers 118 programmes at UG, PG and Doctoral levels in Technology, Science, Pharmacy, Management, International Business, Architecture, and Law.

GITAM GAT 2018 will be conducted in computer-based mode from 11 to 26 April 2018 to get admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru Campuses. The University also offers Direct Admission to Board Toppers of the central and all state board examinations 2018, without appearing for the GAT examination.

GITAM GAT 2018 Dates

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2018 or 2017 subject to the following criteria: 

Eligibility Criteria for GITAM GAT 2018 for each programme

• B.Tech. Programs: Candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
• B.Tech. in Biotechnology: Candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry, and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
• B.Pharmacy: Candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.
• B.Arch: Candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects and also shall qualify in NATA/ JEE (Main)

Not Eligible: Candidates who passed Intermediate or Class 12 examination in 2017 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT 2018

Direct Admission to Board Toppers

• First rank holders of the central and all state board examinations 2018, equivalent to Class 12 will be given admission to the program of their choice, without appearing for the GAT examination subject to their fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria.
• However, they have to submit an application seeking admission to B.Tech. programs in the University.

Modes of Filling up the GITAM GAT Application Form 2018

MODE 1: Online Application: The candidates can fill the GITAM University Application Form 2018 through online from any place of convenience. The candidates have to follow the link given below to fill the form.

MODE 2: Offline Application: The candidates apart from online mode do have the option to fill the form in offline mode. The candidates can fill the form by using any of the method given below:

• By Post: Candidates can obtain the Application Form by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD which will be accepted up to 24 March 2018.
• From Bank: Application Form will also be available throughout India in specified branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, and Karur Vysya Bank.

For those who have applied Online: If the Payment has been made via Debit Card/Credit Card: Candidates do not have to send anything.

For those who have applied Offline: The application form duly completed should be sent along with the Demand Draft in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank via Registered post/ Speed post / Courier to the address mentioned below on or before 26 March 2018:

GITAM GAT 2018 Online Slot Booking 

Candidates are required to book their slots using the Online booking system as per the scheduled dates. The candidate has to give the preference of their exam centre and time while booking the slot. As the slot is booked on the real-time basis the candidates will have to confirm their slot in the given period of time.

GITAM GAT Admit Card 2018

GITAM GAT Admit Card will be available for download 5 April 2018 onwards. After booking the slot the candidate will be able to download the GITAM GAT Admit Card. GITAM GAT hall ticket will not be sent by post. The candidates should know that the admit card is an important document to be carried at the examination centre.

The candidates who qualify All India Entrance Examination 2018 conducted by GITAM University are eligible for the Admission to undergraduate Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses. GITAM GAT Merit List 2018

• The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained in the GAT 2018 subject to the rule of reservation as per UGC guidelines/ norms as applicable to the University.
• A candidate qualified in GAT 2018 will be eligible for admission only if they have fulfilled the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria.
• 25% of seats are reserved for meritorious students from Karnataka State for admission at Bengaluru Campus.

GITAM GAT Counselling 2018

Eligible Rank holders qualified in GAT 2018 are required to attend Online Counselling with Call Letter by downloading from university website seven centres for admission to B.Tech./ 6 Year Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech.)/ B.Arch./ B.Pharm/ M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy programs for the academic year 2018-19.

GITAM University Scholarship

The University offers financial assistance to the deserving meritorious candidates as follows:

Top 100 Rankers of GAT: Merit Scholarships will be offered by way of tuition fee waiver for top 100 rankers of GAT (UGTP) 2018.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships will be awarded to 5% of students in each department of the academic institutes of the University @ Rs. 2,000 per month depending upon the merit of the student and income of the parent.
