About Punjab Agriculture University

PAU 2017 Punjab Agriculture University Admissions will be offered on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET), Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT), Design Aptitude Test (DAT), JEE Main 2017 and ICAR 2017. Punjab Agriculture University Eligibility criteria

Domicile: Candidates who are residents of Punjab or Union Territory of Chandigarh are eligible to apply

Academic Qualification

  • For B.Sc. Agri (Hons): Candidates must have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Science/ Agriculture with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture.
  • For B.Sc. Biotech. (Hons.)/ B.Tech. Food Tech: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in Science with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.): Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with minimum 65% marks in allied subjects.
  • For B.Tech (Agril.Engg): Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent (Non-Medical Group) with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For B.Sc.(Hons) Fashion Designing & Interior Design: After 10+2 in any stream, the candidates can apply for the admission in this course.

Punjab Agriculture University Application form and Admit Card

The candidate has the option to fill their application Form for PAU 2017 examination either by Online or by Offline application mode through Post or Personally.The students do not have an option to download PAU 2017 Application Form. The application process has not been started yet; the university will soon start the application process.

Candidates should have a valid personal mobile phone number and or a personal E-Mail id. The payment of application fee can be done only through Bank challan in case of the online application form or by cash for the prospectus & application form that is obtained from the university counter. PAU Admit Card 2017

PAU  admit card will be available for download on the official website of Punjab University. The candidate has to keep one photograph (identical to the one pasted on application form) to paste on the downloaded PAU Admit card. 

The candidate has to bring a valid ID proof along with the admit card to the examination hall. Candidates are advised to check the details like name of the students, exam centre, exam dates etc. on the printed admit card.

In the table below, the detail of the fee is given which comprises the prospectus fee and the fee required for each entrance exam. There are three methods to obtain or fill the application form. The details about the application fee are given in the table which the candidates are required to check.

Punjab Agriculture University Result and Counselling

The result of the entrance exams conducted by the Punjab Agriculture University is expected to be declared by the last week of June 2017. The candidates are advised to keep yourself updated on the website of the motachashma as when the result of the PAU will be declared, the same will be updated on the website of motachashma. However, the results will be published on the official website as well as on the notice board in Thapar Hall.

PAU Counselling 2017

  • Candidates called for counselling should reach the venue on the scheduled date and time as per given counselling schedule. Although, the counselling schedule has not been released by the university.
  • Therefore, counselling schedule of the year 2017 will be updated when it gets released. Meanwhile, the candidates can go through the tentative schedule of Punjab Agriculture University counselling.
  • At the time of counselling, the candidates selected for admission shall be required to deposit the full fee in cash immediately On the spot, failing which the seat will be offered to the next candidate on merit.

PAU Result and Counselling 2017

Punjab Agriculture University Exam pattern

Each correct answer will carry one mark, whereas 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer/overwriting/cutting. Candidates have to carry Two ballpoint pens (both only of black/blue colour). The exam pattern for the entrance test conducted by the Punjab Agriculture University is given separately below.

Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) Exam pattern

  • Duration: one and half hour
  • No of Questions: 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each.
  • Medium: English and Punjabi
  • Sections: The Question Paper will be divided into two sections (Section - I and Section - II)
