About Punjab Agriculture University

PAU 2016 Punjab Agriculture University Admissions will be offered on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET), Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT), Design Aptitude Test (DAT), JEE Main 2016 and ICAR 2016. PAU Ludhiana 2016 entrance test for AAT, CET and DAT will be conducted on different dates. 

Online application for Punjab Agriculture University Admissions 2016 has started, candidates can apply on or before May 6, 2016.

Punjab Agriculture University Eligibility Criteria

Domicile: Candidates who are residents of Punjab or Union Territory of Chandigarh are eligible to apply

Academic Qualification

  • For B.Sc. Agri (Hons.): Candidates must have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Science/ Agriculture with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture.
  • For B.Sc. Biotech. (Hons.)/ B.Tech. Food Tech: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in Science with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.): Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with minimum 65% marks in allied subjects.
  • For B.Tech (Agril.Engg.): Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent (Non Medical Group) with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For B.Sc.(Hons) Fashion Designing & Interior Design- Aafter 10+2 in any stream)

Submission of PAU 2016 Application Form  

Candidate has to retain the candidate’s copy of Challan Form and send the University copy of the challan form along with computer generated print-out of application form duly signed by the candidate and their parents/guardian to the following address:

PUA Admit Card

PUA  admit card will be available for download on the official website of Punjab University. The candidate has to keep one photograph (identical to the one pasted on application form) for pasting on the downloaded PUA Admit card. 

The candidate has to bring a valid ID proof along with the admit card to the examination hall.

  • PAU 2016 Result are expected to be declared by the last week of June 2016
  • The results will be published on the official website as well as on the notice board in Thapar Hall.

PAU Counselling


Candidates called for counselling should reach the venue on the scheduled date and time as per given counselling schedule. 

At the time of counselling, the candidates selected for admission shall be required to deposit the FULL FEE in cash immediately ON THE SPOT, failing which the seat will be offered to the next candidate on merit.

  • All Entrance Examinations will start at 10:00 A.M on the prescribed dates
  • Candidates have to carry Two ball point pens (both only of black/blue colour)
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will carry one mark, whereas 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer/overwriting/cutting

Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) Exam pattern

  • Duration: one and half hour
  • No of Questions: 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each.
  • Medium: English and Punjabi
  • Sections: The Question Paper will be divided into two sections (Section - I and Section - II)
