About GUJCET

GUJCET 2018 Seat Allotment Result for Round 1 has been declared on 5 July 2018. Selected candidates can deposit fee for Seat Allotment Round 1 from 5 to 9 July 2018. Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2018 is a common entrance exam conducted by GSEB for admissions to Engineering course in the state of Gujarat for Class 12 science students. GUJCET is conducted every year and more than 1 lakh students appear in GUJCET. Admission in MBBS and BDS Course would be based on NEET. The application process has started from 23 March 2018. Candidates can refer this page for complete information like dates, eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern etc. The GUJCET exam is conducted for the admission in following courses -

GUJCET Eligibility criteria

Eligibility for schools/ institutions

  • All the Higher Secondary Schools, registered by the Board and given permission to run Higher Secondary Science Stream (10 + 2 Pattern) and have been granted Index Number for Higher Secondary Certificate Examination, can send the candidates for the examination.
  • Schools affiliated to CBSE/ CISCE: All the recognized schools  having Higher Secondary Science Stream (10 + 2 Pattern) situated in the State of Gujarat which are registered and affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (CBSE) / Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi (CISCE), can send the candidates for the examination.

Eligibility for candidates

  • Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Science Stream (10 + 2 Pattern) examination or its equivalent examination conducted by the GSHSEB Gandhinagar / CBSE, New Delhi / CISCE New Delhi through the recognized school situated in the State of Gujarat.
  • Candidates who are appearing or going to appear in the Higher Secondary Science Stream (10 + 2 Pattern) examination or its equivalent examination in the same year in which the candidates have filled in application form for Common Entrance Test can also apply.
  • Domicile: Candidates who have passed HSC (10 + 2 Pattern) examination or its equivalent from Gujarat state in which their parents performing duties under central/ state govt. can apply but their parents must belong to Gujarat only.

GUJCET 2018 Online Application Process

  • Get the Information Booklet, User ID and Password from the distribution centres on payment of Rs. 300 through a DD in favour of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar.” payable at Ahmedabad.
  • Using the User ID and Password issued by the board, candidates can register by filling the required details such as personal information, academic information etc. 
  • After filling the necessary details, candidates can save the information by clicking on save ‘button’.
  • Candidates will get their application number through an E-mail which is necessary to have for further process.
  • At the end of generating the application print, candidates can Login with Application Number or User ID/ Password.

GUJCET Application Form 2018

Submission of the Application Form

Candidates need not send any hard copy of Confirmation Page or any other document to the Controller of Examination Office. However, it is advised that the candidates take a printout of the application form for future reference. Candidates can proceed with printing their GUJCET application form 2018.

Distribution of Booklet & Pin Numbers

  • The booklet and Pin Number (User Id & password) will be distributed through District Distribution Centre from last week of March 2018 to 3rd week of  April 2018.

GUJCET 2018 Admit Card

After successful registration, candidates shall be able to download their online GUJCET 2018 admit card (Hall-ticket) 7 days prior to the examination or it may be sent as decided by Board.The admit card is expected to be available from the month of May 2018.

GUJCET Fees

Application Fees: Rs. 300

For online Registration of GUJCET, Demand Draft of Rs. 300 of Nationalised Bank towards examination fee in the name of  “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar” payable at  Ahmedabad shall be produced.

GUJCET Result and Counselling

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list, which will be prepared by the committee on the basis of 60% marks out of the total marks of theory obtained in HSC (10 + 2 Pattern) examination of Science Stream in subjects of Chemistry, Physics and Maths. 40% marks of the total marks obtained in the GUJCET exam.

The language of Question Paper: Question papers shall be in Gujarati, Hindi and English languages. It is necessary that a candidate should mention his medium in the application form.

Marking Scheme

  • Each question carries one mark, and for each wrong answer 0.25 (1/4) fewer marks will be deducted (negative marking).
  • Negative Marking: In case a candidate opted for two or more options for one MCQ then one less mark (negative marking) will be awarded to him.
  • If a candidate is not sure about the answer, it is advisable to avoid giving an answer to such question so that there may not be any negative marking.
