CIEAT 2018 - BS Abdur Rehman Admission

CIEAT 2018 - Crescent Institute Engineering Admission Test (CIEAT) is an engineering entrance exam conducted by Crescent Institute of Science and Technology on an all India basis for admission to B.Tech./ B.Arch course. CIEAT Exam is considered valid only for the admission into the B.Tech course. However, the candidates seeking admission in B. Arch programme need to appear in NATA. There is no requirement to appear in CIEAT for B.Arch admission. 50% of the seats in all B.Tech Programmes are reserved for students taking admission on the basis of JEE Main. The engineering entrance exam is conducted in several centres in pen & paper based mode as well as online mode. B.S Abdur Rahman University is an institute acclaimed throughout India for its equality in teaching and research. It is considered as one of the largest engineering institutes in India.

• CIEAT 2018 will be conducted in BSA Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai from 21 to 30 April 2018
• At all other centres, it will be conducted only on 28 April 2018. 

NOTE: The candidates need to know that earlier, the test for the admission into the institute was known as BSAUEEE. But since last year, the name of the test is changed to CIEAT (Crescent Institute Engineering Admission Test ).

Age limit- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1996 are eligible to apply 

Academic Qualification

• Candidates should have passed class 12 or equivalent from ICSE/ CBSE/ State board. Students appearing for Class 12 exam in March/ April 2018 are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have appeared for the Crescent Institute Engineering Admission Test (CIEAT 2018) or should have a valid score in JEE (Main).

Qualifying Marks for admission into CIST

• For B.Tech - Candidate should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• For Biotechnology Programs - Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate in Mathematics / Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
• For B.Arch - Candidates must have qualify 10+2 examination and NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)

The application process for CIEAT has started and the candidates who are willing to seek admission in the B.Tech/ BArch programme are suggested to fill the application form. The application form can only be filled through online mode. The candidates have to fill the separate application form for B.Tech and B.Arch as the application form is not common. CIEAT Admit Card 2018 will be available to download from the month of April 2018. However, the exact date for the same is yet to be released. CIEAT Admit Card 2018 will be available for download only to those candidates who have submitted the completely filled application form.

 Candidates who have selected test centre as Chennai in the application form will have to book a slot for CIEAT before downloading the admit card. All the important details regarding the CIEAT Admit Card is given below in the link.

• Application Fee - The candidates filling the CIEAT application form need to make the payment of Rs.1000 as an application fee. The payment of the application fee can be made by Credit/ Debit Card or Net Banking.

• The selection of candidates for the admission to the programmes will be made based on the merits of candidates in both qualifying examination and Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the University. 
• CIEAT 2018 Result will be available after the exam. The candidates based on their scores in the CIEAT will be given admission into the BS Abdur Rahman, Crescent Institute of Science and Technology 

• Duration of the Exam: 2 hours
• No. of Questions: 100
