• MU OET is a common entrance exam that was conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, B.Pharma, Pharm.D but from the year 2017 admissions to MBBS and BDS will be done on the basis of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). 

• MU OET 2018 medical entrance exam for undergraduate courses is for admission into B.Pharm and PharmD. 
  • Manipal University Entrance Exam (MU OET) is conducted by Manipal University for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses offered by Manipal University.

• MBBS and BDS Counselling schedule for general category will be released by the university along with the list of documents to carry at the time of counselling.

Academic Qualification

For MBBS

• Candidates must have passed Class 12, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.
• Candidates should have secured minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

For B.Pharm

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology as optional subjects.
• For all the courses Candidates who have passed Class 12 from national open school are not eligible for admission under the Pharmacy Act.

• Candidates applying under General category for the undergraduate courses can apply online at the official website.

• Candidates can also pay Application fee through Credit card/ Net banking or through Demand Draft.

• Candidates applying under General category for the undergraduate courses via Demand Draft will have to take the Print Out of the MU OET 2018 Application Form at the following address.
  • Demand Draft: A Demand Draft of Rs.1400 has to be made in favor of Manipal University, payable at Manipal or Udupi.

Payment of Manipal MBBS Application Fee

The fees of Manipal MBBS Admission can be paid by any of the method given below. The candidates are advised to use any one method to make the payment of application fee.

• Online Payment: The candidates can make the payment of the application fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
• Demand Draft: A Demand Draft will be made in favor of Manipal University, payable at Manipal or Udupi.

List of documents required during counsellings

Candidates have to submit the documents in original at the time of counselling at the counselling centre.

• NEET Hall Ticket / Admit Card
• NEET Score Card
• 10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth
• Marks card of 10+2
• Conduct and Character certificate obtained on the School/College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted.
• Transfer certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate issued by the School/College. No other certificate in lieu of this will not be accepted.
• Fees as applicable for the course
• Copy of Pan Card of Parent
• Two recent and identical passport size photographs
• One  set of photocopies of all the above documents

Manipal Counselling Day

• Candidates will be called according to their NEET Exam ranks as specified above in the schedule. It is mandatory for each of the candidates to be presented on the day of their counselling. In case, the candidate is not present due to any specified reason he/she will have to authorize an individual with a valid authorization letter whose format is given on the official website.
• Only Candidates or authorized representatives are allowed to attend the counselling session, They have to fill the registration form before entering the counselling hall.
• Applicants will be allotted seats as per their rank and availability, If seats are allotted such candidates have to pay the annual fees of the first semester at the same day, no extension in this regard will be provided.

Manipal MBBS Admission 2018 Selection Process

• For MBBS and BDS: Only candidates who have qualified NEET 2018 will be considered for admissions.
• For BPharm and Pharma D: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test MU OET 2018.
  • Merit List: Based on the marks obtained in MU OET, Manipal University will declare a list of all candidates who have appeared for the entrance test on or before the due date, on the website.

Manipal MBBS Post-Admission Formalities

• Fees receipts will be handed over to the candidates after the successful payment of the admission fees.
• Candidates who require hostel facility should report to Chief Warden of the allotted campus for hostel enrollment. The hostel will be allotted on payment of hostel fees only. 
• Candidates should report to the allotted college on or before the reporting date mentioned in the admission order.
• Classes will commence from the second week of September 2018 (MBBS and BDS).
