Jharkhand Scholarship 2019-20: Application, Schemes, Dates

Jharkhand Scholarship Schemes are described in this article. There are 6 Government-funded scholarship schemes for the students of Jharkhand belonging to Minority, SC, SC and merit students. The Welfare Department running various schemes for the welfare of the backward classes and the SC/ST which are monitored by E Portal named E-Kalyan for the upliftment and benefit of SC/ST/OBC candidates followed by the Jharkhand Academic Council which is hosting 3 prominent scholarships for the Meritorious and Needy students of Jharkhand. Jharkhand NMMS Scholarship

Jharkhand NMMS is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme launched for providing financial support to the meritorious students of economically weaker sections to further study at the secondary stage. Only students, who are studying in Class 8 are eligible to apply for NMMS scholarship. There is a scholarship test which will be conducted in two stages such as Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Jharkhand NTSE Scholarship

Jharkhand NTSE is a scholarship test which is conducted by NCERT for students of Class 10. This scholarship test conducted in two stages. Every year over 1 Lakh students appear in the test and close to 1,000 students are awarded the NTSE scholarship. Successful students receive NTSE Scholarship from Class 11 till their PhD studies. The scholarship amount of Rs. 1,250 per month is for Class 11 & 12 and Rs. 2,000 per month for Undergraduate & Post Graduate Students.

E-Kalyan Jharkhand Scholarship

E-Kalyan Scholarship for Post/Pre Matric will be provided to Schedule Tribe (ST)/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Backward Class (BC) students of Jharkhand. Only Jharkhand domicile students are eligible for this scholarship scheme. There is no scholarship test but there are family income criteria i.e. the family income of SC, ST students is more than Rs. 2,50,000 and BC Students whose family income is more than Rs. 1,00,000 are not eligible. Selected Jharkhand domicile students can avail this scholarship within state & outside the state. The given below are the E Kalyana Scholarship Schemes.

E-Kalyan Scholarship Scheme

Jharkhand Scholarship by Jharkhand Academic Council

Rashtriya Medha, Rajya Medha, and Rajya Nirdhanta Sah Medha Chatravriti Pariksha are conducted by JAC (Jharkhand Academic Council) to give a scholarship to the students. Rajya Medha Chatravriti Pariksha is based on Class 6, Rajya Nirdhanta Sah Medha Chatravriti Pariksha is based on Class 7, and Rashtriya Medha Chatravriti Pariksha is based on Class 8. There is an application form for participating in scholarship test; students are not required to pay any fee for the application form.

Rashtriya Medha Chatravriti Yojana

In Rashtriya Medha Chatravriti yojana, students who are studying in Class 9 & Class 10 will be provided with the scholarship amount of Rs. 250 every month. This scholarship amount will be given for 10 months in a year. Students have to obtain a minimum of 55% marks in their Class 9 examination. Rashtriya Medha Chatravriti - Complete Details

Rajya Medha & Rajya Nirdhanta Sah Medha Chatravriti Yojana

Students who cleared the Rajya Medha & Rajya Nirdhanta Sah Medha Chatravritin Pariksha will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 200 from Class 8 to Class 10. In both schemes, students have to obtain a minimum 55% marks in their Class 8 & Class 9 examinations. Those students whose annual family income is more than 1 Lakh are not eligible for this scholarship. Only students who successfully cleared their Class 8 examination and studying in Class 9 are eligible to apply.

Only students who got 1,2,3 rank in their Class 6 examination are eligible for participation in Rajya Medha Chatravriti Pariksha. The annual family income of the student should not exceed the amount of Rs. 24,000 for participating in Rajya Nirdhanta Sah Medha Chatravriti Pariksha. The student should be studying in Class 8 and must have obtained minimum 50% marks in Class 7 examination and also hold 1,2,3 position in the class. 3 boys & 3 girls from each school can apply for participation in this test.
