Jamia Certificate Course in Sanskrit Language - Last Date to Apply

Jamia Certificate Course in Sanskrit admission process has started with the availability of the application form on the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia. Newly established Department of Sanskrit, Jamia Millia Islamia offers Certificate Course in the Sanskrit Language from the current academic session 2017-18. The certificate program in Sanskrit is beneficial for the students who have not studied the Sanskrit language after class 8 or any level and are keen to learn the ancient language.The last date to apply online is 31 October.

Eligibility: The students passed in class 12 exam in any stream are only eligible to apply to Jamia Millia Certificate Course in Sanskrit.

JMI Sanskrit Program Admission Notification

Sanskrit is an oldest surviving language and indispensable tool to study the ancient Indian texts and the wealth of knowledge therein. On completion of the certificate program in Sanskrit at Jamia Millia Islamia. After completing the certificate course, the candidates will be eligible to get admission into B.A. (Hons) in Sanskrit program. Interested candidates can apply for admission in a certificate program in Sanskrit only through online mode from 23 October to 31 October 2017.

JMI Sanskrit Admission Application Process


The candidate wishes to get admission in Certificate Program in the Sanskrit Language offered by Jamia Millia Islamia has to first submit an online application form. The candidates can submit the online application form from 23 October to 31 October 2017. The candidates also have to submit the hard copy of the application form and it should reach college by 2 November 2017.

At the time of filling the online application form, the candidates will be required the following items.

  • Email id
  • Mobile Number
  • Scanned photo
  • Scanned signature
  • Credit card, Net banking or Debit card

Sanskrit Certificate Course Fee


The candidates selected for admission in Certificate Program into Sanskrit Language program offered at Jamia Millia Islamia will have to pay the program fee of Rs. 71,000 at the time of admission.

Department of Sanskrit, Jamia Millia Islamia was set up with the appointment of a Professor, an Associate Professor and two Assistant Professors in February 2017.
