BHU SET 2021 Application Form: Apply Online, Dates, Eligibility

BHU SET 2021 Application Form can be filled only through online mode on the official website of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Central Hindu School (CHS) invite application for admission in class 6, 9 and 11 for both boy and girl candidates. Students will be selected for CHS Varanasi Admission through an entrance test called BHU SET (School Entrance Test) which is conducted by BHU every year. CHS has 2 campuses:

• Central Hindu Girls Schools (CHGS) 
• Central Hindu Boys Schools (CHBS).

BHU SET entrance examination will be held on different dates for class 6, 9 & 11. The candidates who are currently studying in class 5 or 8 or 10 can appear in the SET 2021 test as an external candidate. CHS Online Form 2021 has to be submitted before the due date.

BHU SET 2021 Application Form - Apply to CHS Varanasi

The candidates seek admission at Central Hindu School BHU have to appear in the SET examination. The candidates can apply for SET only through online mode by clicking the link given here. The application form cannot be sold offline from the BHU campus or anywhere. The candidates have to fill the SET application form carefully because an incomplete application form will not be accepted. • Registration: First, the candidates have to register themselves on the entrance test portal of BHU. The candidates will have to provide their email id, name, date of birth, gender, father’s name, mother’s name, address, mobile number and also have to create a password. Now the candidates have to click sign up button given there. Now the candidates would be shown a confirmation message on the screen and the candidates will also receive an e-mail on the email id given by the candidates. This email will have an activation link and the candidates have to click on the activation link to complete the registration process.
• Filling the Application Form: Now the candidates have to log in and fill the online application form. The candidates will have to now enter their name, parent’s name, category, class appeared for, and qualifying exam details.

• Uploading Photograph and Signature: Now the applying candidates have to upload the scanned copy of following images.The candidates have to keep ready a scanned version of coloured photograph and signatures ready for submission.
  • Passport size colour photograph (in jpeg format only) of the candidate which must be taken recently and the size of the photograph must be under 100kb.
  • Signature of Candidate using the blue or black pen (in jpeg format only) which should be under 100 kb.
• Payment of the Application Fee: Now the candidates will be provided with an option to make payment of the application fee. The candidates can pay the SET application fee through credit card or debit card or online internet banking or also through Online Generated Bank Challan. The candidates paying through Online Generated Bank Challan have to deposit the challan along with the fee at any nearby HDFC bank branch. After making payment, the application process will be completed. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the completed application form for future references.

BHU SET 2021 Application Fee

CHS Varanasi Application Fee can be paid either online through Net Banking/Debit card/credit card or challan in any branch of HDFC Bank. The candidate has to pay CHS Varanasi SET 2021 application fee as given below. 

CHS Varanasi Admission Eligibility

Gender: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply

Nationality: The candidates must be an Indian Citizen.

Age: The candidates must be aged on 30 September 2021;

• For Class 6 Admission: 10-12 Years
• For Class 9 Admission: 13-15 Years
• For Class 11 Admission: maximum of 18 years

Minimum Marks needed to fill BHU SET application form and appear in entrance exam

For Class 6: The candidates must be passed in class 5 examination from any school.

For Class 9: The candidates should have passed in class 8 examinations from any school.

For Class 11: The candidates applying for admission in class 11 must be passed in class 10 examination from any recognised board or University with the required percentage as given below:

• Science Stream: 60% and above of marks or equivalent grade in Class 10 admission in Science Stream and the student should also secure 50% or above in the subjects Science and Mathematics.
• Commerce Stream: 55% and above marks or equivalent grade must be secured by the candidates in Class 10 for Commerce Stream Admission.
• Arts Stream: The candidates want to get admission in Arts stream Class 10 must be passed in class 10 examinations with good marks.

Minimum Marks Needed in BHU SET

• In addition to above Candidates (excluding SC/ST) should score a minimum of  33% marks in BHU School Entrance Test (SET)  
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Challenged (OH) will be eligible for admission on securing minimum 25% in aggregate in BHU SET

BHU SET for CHS Varanasi Admission

BHU SET 2021 Admit Card after Application

The candidates successfully applied for CHS Varanasi SET will be able to download admit card to appear in SET 2021 entrance examination. CHS Varanasi SET admit card will be available on the official website of BHU from 05 May 2021. The candidates will also receive CHS SET Admit on their email id also be informed by SMS on their registered mobile number but it will not be dispatched via post. The candidates who have downloaded their admit card will have to affix the same passport size photograph  used on the application form and self-attest it

• CHS Varanasi SET Admit Card will contain personal detail of the candidates, date & time of the entrance test, centre venue details
• The candidates selected for admission will have to produce admit card during the time of counselling.
• If any candidates are unable to download their CHS Varanasi SET Admit Card or find any discrepancies, they must inform 1 week before the entrance test date on the office phone number of the CHGS (0542-2398710).

BHU SET Exam Pattern, Syllabus for CHS Varanasi Admission

• Number of Question: 100 Multiple Choice Questions
• Duration: 2 Hours Duration

BHU SET Syllabus

The candidates who are going to appear in the CHS Varanasi SET entrance examination for class 6 or 9 or 11 to have to prepare for the test by following the syllabus given below:

• For Class 6: SET entrance test for class 6 admissions will be based on the syllabus of class 5 standard with questions from Social Science, Hindi, English, Mathematics, and General Science.
• For Class 9: Entrance exam for class 9 admission will have question-based on class 8 standard syllabus. The questions will be from Mathematics, English, General Science, Social Science and Hindi.
• For Class 11: SET entrance examination for class 11 will be based on the syllabus prescribed below. 
  • For Maths Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Studies.
  • For Commerce and Arts Group: English, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, General Maths and General Studies. 
  • For Biology Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Studies.

Selection Process for CHS Varanasi Admission 

The candidates will be selected for admission at CHS into the class they have applied for based on marks obtained in the SET entrance test. The candidates offered a seat will have to come for counselling at CHS BHU campus. The candidates selected for admission in class 11 also have to exercise their choice combination immediately at the time of counselling.

Result for CHS Varanasi SET entrance test will be tentatively declared on 10 July 2021. The candidates, who will score a minimum of 33% marks in the SET test, can be considered for admission.
