CBSE Expression Series 2014-15

CBSE has come up with the concept of CBSE Expression Series, the objective of which is to make the school students aware about the men & women who have made valiant & selfless contributions for the country. The country has achieved great heights because of many great people's contribution in their respective fields.

CBSE has organised various expression series on Birthdays of Eminent persons like Swami Vivekananda, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Madan Mohan Malaviya, Subramania Bharti etc. or for special events like one was organised keeping in purview the Swachhta Mission that was launched on the Birthday of Mahatami Gandhi.

The students of various classes participate by writing an essay, poem on the given topics. The submission of the entry is done only through the CBSE Website. The contest opens for only 1 day between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m and class wise topics are released one day before the contest.

In each CBSE Expression Series contest 36 winners are selected and awarded cash prizes and certificates. The various Expression Series organised by CBSE are:

  • Mahatama Gandhi: The Father of the Nation

This was the longest expression series and ran from October 2, 2014 to October 15, 2014. For each day a new topic was released  and students have to submit their entries. This was in tandem to the National Campaign Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which was launched on October 2, 2014.

  • Bal Swachhata Mission

It was a 5 day expression series which ran from November 14, 2014 to November 19, 2014.

  • Pandit Deen Dyal Upadhyaya- A Renowned Thinker
  • Subramania Bharti- The Great Poet

  •  Swami Vivekananda- Eminent Scholar

CBSE Expression Series on Swami Vivekananda

  • Atal Bihari Vajpayee: India's PM (1998-2004)

The expression series was launched on the 90th Birthday of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It ran for two days that is December 25 & 26, 2014. The Topics for the Expression series were around Good Governance and students from Class 1-12 participated in the CBSE Expression Series from all over the country. Atal Bihari Vajpayee is also chosen for country's highest Civilian Award that is Bharat Ratna.
